Powerwall On/off Switch Cover

Has anyone found a good device to prevent the Powerwall power switch from accidentally being turned off by either bumping it or by curious children? I'm surprised how whimpy of a switch it is. I understand that the system has to be accessible to the local utility to disengage but one way for a nogoodnik to wreak havoc is to simply turn off the switch. I wish there were a way to secure it.

If the Powerwalls haven't been installed yet, another option is to wall-mount them. Chances are the kids won't be able to reach if the switch is 6 feet off the ground.

I've seen black plastic squares stuck over the switch location with double sided sticky tape. Or can pull cover off and you'll see the wires going to the switch. It's only 12v, can just connect the two together and by pass the switch.

One reason all of my hardware is inside. Never understood putting a PW outside. Of course if you don’t have a garage, then you don’t have a choice. And I agree the switches are something I would barely put on an internet router.

Not sure bypassing the switch is a good idea as you may need to reboot it sometimes. There is the reboot button on the gateway menu but we all know why you need hardware reboot sometimes.

I’d agree either height or some sort of enclosure would be the best bet if you can’t enclose the whole installation.
