Question for those who wrapped their Model X

I got a steal on an inventory Model X. However the color is Blue and my wife wants the Pearl White color. My proposed solution is to wrap the car, but I'm worried that the blue that will show in the door jambs and other unexposed areas. Does anyone have experience wrapping the door jambs of the Model X? I've got quotes from a few places between 5000-7000 to wrap the whole car including the jambs, but feels a bit high.

While you can have those ares wrapped in white, it will cost extra and will show minor wear from the doors closing on top of the wrap. May cost an extra $1,000.

Obvious question, but will it still be a steal after you've paid $5k - $7k just for the color? I prefer white as well, but got a great deal on a blue Model S. People rave about the color and I've grown to like it too.

Yeah, it's like a 15k steal lol. I honestly would be okay with the blue, but my wife is pretty adamant about wanting white.

My girlfriend says you should take half the wrap money and bribe your wife with jewelry. $15k is a pretty good steal, though.

way too high. should only be about half that including the door jamb. only needs some knifeless tape and a few extra square feet of wrap

Depends on the shop. I got door jambs also wrapped on X. Most of it. My cost was below your estimates. But it looks like the shop underestimated the work. Going back to round 2 for them to complete it.

Painting it white may be cheaper than the wrap. My full clear matte wrap (over multi coat pearl white - don’t be jelly) cost $4,900 but did not include jams

I ended up going with XPEL Stealth which my wife now loves lol. Now I just need to upgrade the wheels.
