Just curious, when did X100s come out, just purchased a late 16X and considering possibly trading it in for a bigger battery for more range

Mid 2016 - started with P100D's (AP1) and then IIRC Nov 2016 with 100D (AP2).

90D was discontinued June 2017

Yes, "capability"

but there have been NO AP2's with an MC1 that have been upgraded to AP3. its a completely different system that AP2 doesn't support. See pic of differences between both
