Rear Trunk Lighting

One of my big complaints about my current vehicles (Mazda CX-5) is how poorly the back Trunk/Hatchback area is lit at night. How's the Model Y in this regard? Anyone have any pictures? I improved my CX-5 a little by upgrading to bright white LED's. If anyone has done this and has before and after pictures, that would be awesome!

The trunk lighting is a bit weak in the MY with one small round LED in the center of the liftgate. I purchased brighter rectangular LED puddle door lights from Abstract Ocean and I would buy a replacement for the round trunk light if/when they offer one.

I came from a 2014 Mazda3 and it had a weak incandescent light on the left wall of the trunk area. The Model Y light is light years better.

Yeah, I don’t have any major complaints about the lighting. Incidentally I just heard back from Abstract Ocean that the round trunk LED light is built into the liftgate trim, so they will not be able to offer a replacement light.

Thanks! Sounds like the Mazda3 is similar to my CX-5. Also glad to hear that the MY is better. Even though Abstract Ocean can't upgrade it now, I bet that in the future there will be options. When there's a will, there's a way!
