Routing cable through firewall impossible?

I've watched all video I could find about this.
I don't seem to find any place where a wire can come from in the inside
This is how it looks like on passenger side with panel removed;

I've seen videos where instead of the white metal I have on the left it's some rubber but in my case it's solid...
A bit up from there, there is some kind of hole very hard to reach, I was able to take a pic from the inside but that looks to be the vent:

On the outside, I have the rubber cap like I've seen in some videos, but then it's white foam, and I feel air coming like this is probably the vent as well? Do you think it's safe to try to pass the wire through there? I feel like it would come out from the spot on the above picture. I don't see from where else...

Any help appreciated, I'm struggling on this : (

Puncture the foam behind the rubber cap in the firewall and you'll have access. That's what I did for my airlift controller

In my 2018 there is a grommet in that same area that I used to get through the firewall.
