Seat heater always on?

My driver's side seat seems to always be moderately warm. At first i thought due to it simply being a black seat, but even in colder weather the seat (and lower back) seem to be generating moderate heat, as if the seat heater is on low. The seat heater is not on, and does get warmer with the higher settings. Anyone else notice anything like this?

I have the same problem. I have no idea why this is. I read somewhere it's because the seat retains a lot of body heat but the seat heats up within mins so that can't be it,
