Hey guys, anyone know or suggest any raceways that offer open track days? Would love to go test out the M3 and see what it can do.

Check out www.puretrack.net. They do some autocross style parking lot events and are just beginning to do track days. The autocross events are easy and a good way to test the limits of you car in a safe and economical way. Plus the shorter runs are not so hard on the car. This is the best way to get your feet wet becasue they provide a helmet and the workers. You just show up and drive your sessions. They do events at the Anaheim stadium parking lot so it is very convenient.
If you must go on a track you can try Auto Club Speedway, Buttonwillow Raceway, Willow Springs Raceway (2 tracks). The tracks do not run the events but you can likely look at their event calendars and visit the websites for the event hosts for more information.

Checkout NASA at Buttonwillow and Willow Springs (PS Tesla films almost all new cars at Willow Springs for the release videos). They have HDPE school groups which will get you quite a bit of track time and put you with an instructor until you are comfortable on your own!
