Spotify Not Updating Albums/Playlsts

Rebooting the car computer did the job for me. Just hold in both steering wheel buttons until the screen goes black. You still drive and in a couple of minutes when it loads back up, just click Spotify and it should load from the cloud with your updated lists.

Sorry to revive this - I've found that the screen reboot now doesn't always work to refresh the playlists. I've had to log out and back into Spotify today to get it to update. Its incredibly frustrating. Surely this is basic functionality that should just work.

After years of having to reset the system to get Spotify to update to current podcasts and playlists, I think I finally found a work around that is easier than resetting the system. If you create a second driver profile that also has a separate Spotify account (We have the family account so I created several profiles each with their own Spotify log in) you can just simply change the driver profile then immediately return back to yours and it will update. Much easier and quicker than resetting via the steering wheel.

Pro Tip: Make sure that Autopilot is engaged for each profile otherwise it will shut down when you switch.
