Marco found a permit for a 12 stall Supercharger site by the Safeway located at the Northgate One Shopping mall address 270 Northgate Dr, San Rafael, CA 94903.

Applied 1/20/23, still under review. First San Rafael site was under review for many months. We will see if they learned anything with this one.

This has all but been approved per reviews. Ready to issue pending assignment of a contractor which Tesla doesn't assign until they are ready to actually pull the permit which appears to be on schedule for before June 1st (Q2).

Sadly it appears that the Tesla staffer who was the point person on this one, Richard Sartini, was laid off as part of the "Elon revenge" supercharger layoffs a few weeks ago. So sad. Permit is expired so who knows if we will ever see this one move forward. Also sounds like they were trying to negotiate the "land rights" per the latest notes:

The last response was 9 months before the team was fired so this probably died due to and rights and not the layoffs. Although, there is still a gray pin for San Rafael which now usually means a site under construction. This could still be a holdover from the old map but you never know.
