Tesla has started marketing a new “Powerwall+” product, according to a post on Reddit showing photos and a spec sheet for the battery.
The post by Reddit user tangard shows the Powerwall+ will have an increase in max power output to 9.6kW, up from 5kW continuous and 7kW peak output.
The spec sheet outlines key features:
Integrated battery, inverter, and system controller for a more compact install Integrated soft starter capable of powering motors and air conditioning unitsA suite of application modes, including self-powered, time-based control, and backup modesWi-Fi, Ethernet, and LTE connectivity with easy over-the-air updates
“Powerwall+ is an integrated solar battery system to store energy from solar production,” the spec sheet says. “Its integrated design and streamlined installation allow for a simple connection to any home, and improved surge power capability brings whole home backup in a smaller package. System smart controls enable owners to customize system behavior to suit their renewable energy needs.”
It does not appear the Powerwall+ will have a dramatic new look, but it appears to feature a new inverter with an integrated breaker.
