Elon Musk continues to find ways for his multiple companies to work together, the latest being an order of Tesla motors and battery packs supplied to the Boring Company.

The amount of equipment sold to the tunnel-digging startup totaled $400,000 for this year and 2017, according to a regulatory filing.

The Boring Company plans to dig a network of tunnels for a high-speed transportation system. The company has teased images of vehicles it plans to build for transporting people and cargo through the tunnels. It’s possible the company will use the motors and batteries to prototype those vehicles.

In other examples of Musk leveraging tech from one company for another, SpaceX paid Tesla to install a Powerpack energy storage system earlier this year. Musk has also said he wants the Boring Company to dig tunnels for transporting Tesla parts and vehicles between facilities.
