Price doesn't seem HORRIBLE, but why not just get a Leaf at that point?

The price is why I ended up getting a Roadster. A quality conversion, done by yourself is EASILY $25,000 just for the parts, no donor car. So I can easily see how this person has over $60,000 in the car. When I looked at doing another conversion I just did not think I could match the value in a used Tesla. After driving a Roadster for 7 months I am convinced I made the right choice.
It looks like a nice conversion and 90 miles is better than a Leaf or a Volt. And if you want something distinctive it is less than half the cost of a used Tesla.
