Weird dull spot in paint

Any ideas for what this could be? No clue what it is, won't come off in touchless car washes

How old is your car?
Was the issue present when you took delivery?

This looks like either clear-coast peeling off the base paint layer, or a chemical burn on the surface of the clearcoat. The latter can be polished out. The former can't.

6 months old already. Why would clear coat peel off the base paint layer - tree sap/bird poop?

6 months old already.

I assume that also means that you didn't see the problem during delivery.
6 months is long enough for Tesla to disclaim any responsibility under warranty.
Other OEMs would stand behind their product and interior/exterior quality, but Tesla will not. You are welcome to find that out for yourself.

Not likely. The spots are far too big to be tree sap or bird poop. Unless you still have pterodactyls flying in your neck of the woods.
Just in case, have it professionally polished (google for services in your area). If it's something on the surface of the clear-coast, it will get polished out.

If it's clear-coast delaminating from the underlying paint layer, then it's a manufacturing defect.
See above about Tesla's most likely response.

Good luck,

Yeah it's 6 months/6000 miles. My car already had 6k miles on the odometer long ago lol
