Whats the data coverage for EU vehicles?

Im waiting for a Nordic car, but traffic in that forum is scant, and im assuming policy is similar across EU.

I assume data coverage is EU wide, for cross continental treks?

And failing that, can vehicle get full functionality from wifi (i.e. from mobile hotspot / smratphone), or is that only for "home" and maintenance services only (software updates, diagnostic communications, etc)

My experience so far (Model 3 for 6 months, travelling to France, Belgium, Denmark and Germany) is that data coverage is for the whole of Europe.

I've been in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Denmark with the car and I've data in al these countries.
I've met Norwegian cars at the Superchargers in Denmark and Germany and they did have data there so I think you should be OK in Europe.

Other members here went all over Europe and I did hear them complaining about loss of data, besides a defective modem in the car.

Been to Norway and Croatia and everything in between. Always had coverage. Would guess you're good as long as you're in the EU or the Nordics.
