Wheel Brush Recommendations

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good wheel brush that won’t scratch my stock 19” rims? I can get most of the gunk out at the car wash but I need something to get the stuck on winter muck out quickly at the self wash.

I bought this tire brush package a while ago and haven’t noticed any damage during washes, and everything seems to come off pretty easily. It’s overpriced for 3 brushes (but brand bought stuff always is!) and I’m sure there are better ones out there, but I like the handle sizes on all of them and the woolie works really well on OEM wheels. Only complaint is the tire and wheel brush heads can feel big and clunky, at times.

Opti's Wheel and Body Brush is so soft you can use it on your paint without scratching. The key is to find a brush that has flagged fibers. This makes a huge difference.
In our detail shop we test brushes by rubbing them on the underside of our forearm, they should feel as soft as a feather. Then you know they're safe to use on your car.

Dish brush from any kitchen store. First soak them with Dawn.

I use the Mothers Wheel Brush. It has feathered bristles so it won't scratch the wheels.
