I went back in the Web archive to Aug 2020 and the pricing was pretty much the same:

Right. Canada was way ahead of the curve on charging more, since after currency conversion our price was already significantly higher than the USD equivalent. I guess the US prices have come up enough to erode enough of that extra margin to the point where Tesla is finally starting to bump the pricing here as well. Joy.
