Tesla store? Service Center? Autozone? Target? Going on a trip in about a week, and need to get some replacements for my S before then. What's my best option? Really don't want to go to the SC if I don't have to...
I'd like to know as well what everyone has been doing? Or which brand the OEM blades are? Mine are just starting to get to that point where they need to be replaced and I think that's pretty darn good.
This is maybe a little besides the topic of this thread but it feels close enough that I didn't want to open a new one.
Any idea how much does Tesla charge for a wiper arm replacement?
Yes, I think I broke mine. The gorilla in me decided that it just needed a little force to lift up higher (had no idea these things were not designed to go all the way up like almost in any other car). Pulled on it a little harder and pop goes the little spring and clamp. Nothing seems broken but no idea how I could put the spring back. Glad the windscreen didn't break or that I didn't poke my eyes out. In any case, I have a mobile tech already scheduled for Monday so we'll see then. I don't think this will be treated as a warranty issue but who knows. I low key hope they put a newer style arm in (which can be properly lifted up).
Mine is a 2016 S and I read somewhere that newer ones come with arms which can be lifted properly. Saw a youtube video which showed how to replace the blades. He just pulled the arm and it stayed upright.
