    Supercharger Extension Cable

It's going to be interesting when non tesla ev's start parallel parking at supercharger stalls. Alot of ride sharing drivers and rental car agencies (using public infrastructure for ev fleet charging) will probably have the first come first serve mentality and could care less about charging...

Mustang Mach e GT charging at California Tesla supercharger

This makes me wonder if Tesla is shifting their charging priorities from current Tesla owners to non Tesla EV owners. Tesla already has our $ from the vehicle purchase, but new non Tesla EV owners are paying either a membership fee or higher charging rate. A new expected revenue stream of $10...

    Supercharger Extension Cable

Wow $700 from EVBASE! The cord looks hefty, but not quite as thick as SC V2 cords. But they claim it can handle 350kw. https://www.evbase.com/products/evbase-ccs1-ev-extension-cord?variant=44107487576307

    Supercharger Extension Cable

After reading the A2Z extension in more detail, it seems like charging speed will get throttled once the car and sc detect too much heat. That would kind of defeat the purpose of fast charging, unless they can throttle it to ~100kw.

    Supercharger Extension Cable

It was in the charge your non tesla section. They added the sentence either yesterday or Monday. https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharging-other-evs#cable

    Supercharger Extension Cable

Now that Tesla and aftermarket companies will be making a NACS DC supercharger extension cable, how many people will really buy one? The A2Z one is $300, so who knows how much the Tesla one will cost. Per the Tesla website 'We are working on a NACS to NACS extension cable, which will be...

    In Car Nav Messed Up

Here is a pic after I clicked Ok when the 'Enough charge to continue' message popped up. In the upper left corner, you can see it says I can go, but at the bottom of the nav, on this leg it had me finishing at -4%. I'll definitely be using ABRP and the other suggestions above.

    In Car Nav Messed Up

Yes good suggestions. After my first trip was so successful, I became too reliant on the in car nav. On future road trips I will do more pre planning, key in my own charging stops, and add a 10% buffer after the 'you have enough charge to continue' message appears.

    In Car Nav Messed Up

I used to be a fan of the in car nav. In 2021, I traveled over 600 miles each way from KC to Longmont, CO, and the nav was spot on. My car is a 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor Long range with 18” wheels w/out aeros. My average speed was 84mph in both directions. Fast forward to last weekend when I was...

"Proactive" 12v battery replacement - good idea or overkill?

I just had my 12V replaced under warranty. It was almost 4yrs old before I received the warning. For those of you waiting to replace your 12V until the last minute, keep in mind that the service center may not have any in stock. I had to wait 2wks for them to get new stock. I even had them...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

Wow that is awesome! I got mine in Sept of '18 as well. Back when I was getting ins, I thought maybe I had a unicorn because my vin was coming back as a performance from some of the ins companies, but unfortunately it was not the case.

Predictions for Model 3 pricing after Model Y released?

Exactly. I wonder if they will even discontinue the Model 3 in the US. Everyone here loves little crossovers, while sedan production is slowing and even discontinued in some cases. Plus alot of Model 3's will be getting traded in for the Y, so the used Model 3 market will have a ton of...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

Well I guess this didn't happen. Dangit!!!

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

Thanks jebinc for getting that info! Back in 2015 when Tesla offered the Ludicrous after delivery upgrade for $5k, I'm pretty sure the rear drive unit needed to be changed to a bigger one. If a performance upgrade for the 3 requires a similar change, that should be an easy swap. But maybe...
