Tips on renting a Tesla in Germany?

Yes, I also had a bill last week from Sixt for supercharging in August 2023, although oddly it only related to the last top up charge I did before returning the car to Munich Airport and didn't include all the rest of the supercharging during the time I had the car. Maybe more invoices to...

Tips on renting a Tesla in Germany?

I recently rented a Model Y for a week at Munich Airport using Sixt. I did c. 1000km around Germany and Austria in that time (remembering to buy an Austrian toll sticker on the way to the border!). Find the whole process very straightforward - the superchargers just worked as normal. I haven't...

    Insurance troubles May 2023

Just to add my experience on this - last year my M3LR was insured with Direct Line at a premium of c.£875. Just had the renewal through and they've quoted £1,375, despite nothing changing at all. Clearly Direct Line aren't interested in retaining my business, so I've done the comparison sites...

M3P Clicking/Tapping Noise from 17mph and Above. Front Drivers Side.

Obvious suggestion but could you have a stone stuck in the tyre?

M3 roof rack paint protection stickers

Yes I've just done this as well. The advantage is that you can cut the PPF to a bigger size as I find the original stickers were too small and so I got a paint chip next to the roof.

2 EV Household - what else you got?

We're a two EV household with a 2021 Model 3 LR and a 2019 BMW i3. Model 3 mostly does the nursery runs and we use the i3 as a station car or local runabout.

    Boot strut recall

Well had my latest service appointment and the ranger basically did nothing save for reset the boot by holding the close button in until it beeped. Unfortunately I wasn't home when he came otherwise I'd have told him I'd already tried that... In any event the"fix" has only sorted it temporarily...

    Boot strut recall

Well after having it "fixed" by a ranger a couple of weeks ago, the boot has stopped working again so I've booked another ranger visit. This time the paperwork seems to indicate they're going to replace the strut itself, but will see...

    Boot strut recall

I was at work so my wife dealt with him - think they may have adjusted the latch but not really sure.

    Boot strut recall

Had the ranger fix my boot this morning - apparently it wasn't the powered strut but the latch not releasing correctly. Not totally convinced by that explanation but if they've not fixed it I'll just book in another appointment. 🤔 Also did some kind of recall work to fit insulation to the a/c...

    Boot strut recall

Yeah you can open it manually but it takes a few goes to unlatch, so think there might be a couple of different issues involved. Wonder if it might be temperature related to some extent as its much worse now it's colder.

    Boot strut recall

My powered boot has stopped working today as well - technician booked for 4 Feb. Mrs isn't happy as she can't fit the baby buggy in our other car.

    Two-year Service

Were you able to schedule the service via the app, or did you have to call them? If via the app, what section did you use - "other"? Thanks

    Packed Superchargers

I was at Rugby services S/C last night around 5pm and when I arrived there was only 1 S/C free, which surprised me. Were a couple of the Gridserve chargers free as well, but overall it was way busier than I expected. Still a really good setup though.
