The high IV is no joke. I've been doing CC on some puts assigned at the start of April, then a 20% drop out of nowhere, and a week later, the SP is almost back up. It feels like a complete crapshoot planning strike prices

Not a helpful answer, but OptionStrat usually changes the name of the strategy to match the position. It calls what you outlined as "Custom" Maybe there isn't an official strategy name 😅

Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

I don't have experience with naked calls, but based on my experience with having some covered calls exercised, the broker pulls whatever number of shares are required to meet the obligation of the call from the account. After the fact, I adjust the lots to match the cost basis I want to use for...

SMCI is rocketing today. I got assigned a couple of puts for 965 two weeks ago and thought it might be another week or two before the price recovered, but not any more

I think a STC only happens if the short call sold against it is allowed to expire ITM, and it's needed to cover the short call, otherwise, the long call remains open, the short call expires, and a new short call can be written until the long call expires.

I found this helpful article on a Poor Man's Covered Call - Poor Man's Covered Call - What is it? If I'm following it right, you could use your 5x +C150 12/2025 to write short calls against. The long call needs to be ITM.

Tesla solar - sending grid night and daytime consumption from solar and grid. No power wall..

There are sensors installed on the key circuits like the main and to your panels. It looks like they where installed backwards. I would recommend sharing with your installer and asking them to fix it

    AMD Ryzen & 12v Batteries now shipping in US Y & 3!!

Yes. Again, it depends on the SA. I had asked a week or so ago if they could match me with a VIN that had an AMD when my order came off hold, and that SA said “All cars produced now have those processors and batteries.” Those being AMD and Li-Ion. The SA contacted me for an appointment...

I think you can put your order on hold once without any problem, but after that it depends who you draw as the SA responding.

    AMD Ryzen & 12v Batteries now shipping in US Y & 3!!

I was assigned a 155xxx VIN for a M3LR yesterday, with a build date of 12 Jan that had an Intel processor. The SA let me pass on the VIN and put a hold on my order until 7 Feb. Hopefully that'll give me a build date late enough in Jan to get an AMD processor

    AMD Ryzen & 12v Batteries now shipping in US Y & 3!!

Likely an increase in the battery capacity between model years tested by the EPA. I'm not sure what the battery specs are between the 2021 M3LR and the 2022.

    AMD Ryzen & 12v Batteries now shipping in US Y & 3!!

The 2022 M3LR is less efficient than the 2021 M3LR based on the EPA rating, but overall it has more range. Not sure the difference can be attributed to just the AMD Ryzen, but probably a combination of changes they made between what the EPA tested. Although the 2022 is less efficient, it has...

    Electrician screening

If you’re only installing one charger, your current 200A service is probably sufficient. The HPWC might need to be limited to a 50A circuit, but I don’t see why it couldn’t be set for the max of 60A. I’m not an electrician. From personal experience, we installed a 50A circuit to our existing...
