    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

Nah, thank you Jason. Really great customer service. Let me know when you get another run on these. I might buy a spare rear wheel in case my wife bends one on curb!

Here’s some pics my Avant Garde 580 wheels. Many thanks to Jason at www.GetYourWheels.com, who was absolutely awesome! He was very patient with my numerous questions, and he answered my emails promptly and happily. I bought wheels, tires and sensors from him, which arrived mounted perfectly...

Coated windshield impacting door openers and EZpass

Its important to note that we are talking about two different items here. EZPass boxes are Active transponder systems, analogous to Active RFID systems. These use self-powered RFID tags that continuously broadcast their own signal using a permanently sealed lithium battery. Active tags...

New P90D does 1/4 mile in 10.8 and 0-60 in 2.8s. Question: Does P85D get any love?

Thank you! People bought a 3.2 sec car and got a 3.1 second car at no additional cost. Some folks will never be happy. - - - Updated - - - The P85D performance is more than adequate for highway driving...as is the 85D, P85, and even 85. If there's an ego issue, some cars will never be able...

New P90D does 1/4 mile in 10.8 and 0-60 in 2.8s. Question: Does P85D get any love?

I configured a P90D with the same options as my P85D delivered last month, and the P90D was exactly $9,750 more expensive.

    [lolachampcar] Performance Upgrade Efforts

Champ, I am constantly amazed and grateful for the amount of knowledge you share with us! Wish Tesla would come out with adjustable upper rear control arms...I'd feel a whole lot better about the mod if I could buy the part from them.

    P85D Acceleration and Performance Statistics

Snowrider, thanks for the numbers. What do your fellow Swiss think about your P85D? Guessing you have one of the few in Lausanne.

    P85D Acceleration and Performance Statistics

Thanks for all that George. This is another point people forget about this car. Practically anyone can drive it fast. Many fast Rear Wheel Drive cars require a skilled driver or even a professional driver to get it off the line properly, and then skill is needed to keep it in a straight line...

Help me justify a P85D instead of 70D ($8k difference)

I do agree that it is not a good investment...but it's also true that probably NO $90,000+ Model S is a "good" investment. The price difference between the 85D and P85D is $20,000, not $30,000. With 7% tax, its about $21,400. The speed difference is 1.3 seconds, not .75 (4.4 vs. 3.1...

Help me justify a P85D instead of 70D ($8k difference)

Yes, I think you mentioned that earlier. Of course there are some who wish they'd would have gotten a 85D (which is why I said MOST (not all) were probably very happy with their P85D purchase). There's also probably an awful lot 85D owners who would have liked to buy the P85D as well. When...
