Did the shops ever say there is risk of cracking the sunroof from the extra heat ing absorbed by the tint? A shop near me basically refused to quote for the top for said reason.

Most online dealers offered 28-30k for my trade. Tesla estimated 35-39 then came back officially with 30.5 (WTF). Called local dealers and one came back with 38.8. Kbb trade is like 32-36 and private is 41-45. So perhaps I’m as good as I’ll get with the time I have to sell it. Thanks for your input.

Is your private sale through driveway, to driveway, or some other way? If to Jon Doe how’d you line that up? I haven’t got a hit on cargurus but a dealer gave me a nice quote.

Thanks All for advice. Lo and behold I called around to ICE dealerships and a couple actually gave me an offer between KBB trade in and private sale price. Which actually falls in line with teslas initial HIGHEND offer. So I might go this route. YMMV but wanted to post my finsings in case...

Welp, what a bummer. Teslas official trade-in offer came back 8k less than the estimate they provided 2 weeks ago (which financially allowed me to order). Now I can’t justify the cost. Called Sales rep and all they could say was that the estimates are inaccurate and I should’ve spoken to someone...

In the app, under the “registration” section, there is a section called “Tesla Location”. My understanding is this should be your delivery location. It should be closest one in your state.

I am in same situation, no official offer (been a week since uploading photos in app), but found a credit in finance terms. I wonder how accurate it is? The “unofficial credit” is 5-8k less than their initial trade in estimate i received before I placed my order.

Tesla was surpassingly the best offer for me. Carvana, cargurus, carmax, driveway, vroom, etc were all less by 5-8k. Only carbuyerusa was close matching the low end of what Tesla offered.

You got about $100 less than their max? Holy cow congrats. I would be over the moon at this point if I got so lucky. I also had similar experience to you in that carvana, carmax, driveway, cargurus, etc were all 5-8k less. Only carbuyerusa was close to teslas offer and they were at teslas low end.
