2023 Model Y no USS discussion, incl. Discussion of Tesla Vision Firmware

Does anyone know what the plans are for getting the Tesla vision to tell you the distance to an object. I realize it's worse than having USS but I would like some kind of warning that I'm getting X distance from an object, even if it's not as accurate, over nothing at all. Is there a software...

new comfort suspension switch over dates

Hi. is there any way to know for sure if my Model Y has comfort suspension? I have a 2023 MY manufactured in Austin in Nov 2023. However some reports say only Fremont builds have comfort suspension, while others say if it was built in Austin after Aug 29 then it has it. I wish there was a...

All Tesla Models will get Range/Power increase (not just SR+) of 5%

This is what confuses me. If the mid-range is 62kWh and the SR+ is 50kWh then why is there only around a 10-20 mile range difference now?

All Tesla Models will get Range/Power increase (not just SR+) of 5%

Then what kind of battery does the mid-range have exactly?

All Tesla Models will get Range/Power increase (not just SR+) of 5%

I wish Tesla would be more upfront regarding what batteries exactly (capacity wise) are in each type of Model 3. This is annoying to me as well because now it seems that my mid-range has the same exact battery as the SR+.

Paint coating for gas station car washes

Thanks Full PPF costs a lot. I took my Lexus CT200h though car washes and it didn't leave that bad of a mark. It's a shame the M3 paint is more sensitive. I don't mind hardly noticeable swirl marks but I don't want it the car washes to make more obvious marks on it.

Paint coating for gas station car washes

Hi, I've grown tired to using washless sprays to clean my car. I have a midnight silver Model 3 and I know the paint is sensitive. I was wondering what kind of professional coating (ceramic, etc.) can I put on my car so that I can take it through typical car washes with ease of mind? thanks.

    Customized low battery notification

Great. I'll check out TeslaFi. And, yes I sometimes forget to check the % remaining when I come home.

    Customized low battery notification

Not sure if this has already been discussed but is there a way to make a customized low battery notification? I know that when the battery is very low the screen does prompt me to charge the vehicle soon. However I want it to notify me when I drop below a 100 mile range. Sometimes when I...

Cleaning Model 3 has become a chore

I have coated my car with HydroSilex Recharge but when you're driving on the freeway you still get a ton of bugs hitting the car. So in order to get it spotless you need to spend time spraying the body and windows and taking it off with microfiber cloths, which can take up to 45min for the...

Cleaning Model 3 has become a chore

I bought one of those washless spray cleaners, and clean my car biweekly with microfiber cloths. However in order to get the car in spotless condition it takes me around 45min (not 15min like some have said). I tempted to "throw in the towel" and just take it to a carwash knowing that it...

Reduced price Autopilot & FSD for existing owners announced March 1st

I've read in several posts that buying FSD will get you future "hardware" upgrades of some sort. Does anyone know what that means exactly? If I got my MS in Q4 2018, what kind of hardware upgrades will it need for FSD?

Reduced price Autopilot & FSD for existing owners announced March 1st

If I got my mid-range model 3 in 2018, what hardware upgrades would I get if I spend 2K for AP? Also ,does anyone know if AP will change lanes if I put in the turn signals?

Reduced price Autopilot & FSD for existing owners announced March 1st

Oh so if I got my car in 2018 with no autopilot, I would need to pay $5K ($2K+$3K) for FSD. Bummer in the original blog it made it seem like I could get FSD for $3K, which would be a sweet deal. I'm going to pass then.

Did the Mid-range and Long-range prices dropped $2900??

When do you ever see the MSRP of a new car go down from one year to another (ie 2019 Model 3 vs 2018 Model 3)? Even if the model didn't change year over year, I've never seen a 2019 Toyota XYZ have a lower MSRP than a 2018 Toyota XYZ.
