    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Update: The expected repair time has come down to "closer to 2 weeks" from 4 which is good news (once the panels arrive). Also talked to my insurer about a rental car and was offered a Hybrid Camry through Budget Car Rental, or to book myself and claim back at "reasonable cost" whatever that...

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Roger, cheers. I have read some fairly alarming things about right2drive and similar services - I'll try my insurer since i claimed through them, but I'll keep it right2drive in mind if they don't provide me an adequate vehicle.

    MY RWD insurance all 2k+?

I just got a quote from RAC for a SR MY with my details and it's 914 $ annually. All depends on your situation.

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Just a small update. The parts were finally ordered last week, Tesla does not give a delivery estimate. From the smash repairers experience this takes about 6 weeks. It will take another 4 weeks to complete the repairs, which seems like a long time to me. That being said my main concern is the...

Took delivery of M3 - damaged in 2 hours

Might be able to have that repaired using smart repair, but the dent will be difficult to fix as it's right on the edge. My M3P got t boned at an intersection with 520km on the clock. Was at slow speed but still significant damage (not at fault)

Tesla is Quoting a charge for warranty service on 2 day old car

Mine sure didn't! (Shanghai built) I would get it looked at for sure.

    How to trade in?

You can do it at the time of ordering, but there is no point really unless you want an idea of the amount. The offers are only valid for a limited time & additional kilometers. I did it after i got my VIN number, and didn't end up accepting since other places offered quite a bit more - i went...

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Only this one, i probably expressed myself wrong. i just compared annual pricing at different insurers selecting yes at the section where they ask if you ever had any claims, and comparing those to my current premium. RAC for example only ask you if you ever had any claims regardless of fault...

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Well it's already lodged.. I could probably withdraw but not sure if its worth the hassle especially because i want choice of repairer, and also want my PPF redone at the same place. My insurance has at least verbally confirmed that they will cover it. I pay my premium yearly and am happy to...

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

i highly doubt that is going to be an issue as the damage is not that bad. But i'm also not an expert. I did however have a service appointment with Tesla because of slight vibration at highway speeds which i booked before the accident happened and went to after the accident. No one there...

    Wall connector amps question

This does not look compliant to the latest revision of AS3000 to me, however it would have been before. He should have used 4mm at minimum, depending on the cable type (TPS vs V90) even 6mm and all final subcircuits need to be RCD protected now. I would have installed a 40A RCD/MCB combo and a...

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Thanks for that insight, did not know about this. This is fairly worrying actually, as like @cafz said, our interests are no longer aligned. No - i only know what the smash repairer said, and the fact that the car still drives like new. I guess any potential structural damage can only really be...

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Yes, just panel damage. Uncontrolled intersection with stop and go traffic in my direction. Left a gap as you are supposed to. Car came up to the intersection with the intention to turn right and took the gap as a signal to go even though he couldn’t have because of oncoming traffic. Would have...
