No cruise/AP after long day using sentry mode (Resolved)

I do, but I turned them off and confirmed that the car was asleep (in the morning I went to the Tesla app and it took a long time to connect saying 'Waking up car' or something along those lines. I put in a service request and they re-pushed the software to my car. Unfortunately, even after...

No cruise/AP after long day using sentry mode (Resolved)

So what exactly is the fix? Turning Sentry mode off and letting the car sleep? I have an odd issue where ever since I got the FSD beta, my AP or cruise control does not work whatsoever. I always get 'Cruise Control Unavailable'. I can see speed limit signs, cones, traffic lights and lanes on my...

    2021.36.5.2

how did you redownload the software? I am having an issue where I cannot turn FSD or regular AP on ('Cruise Control Unavailable' message), and the visualization screen does not show any of the cars around me (but does show things like signs, cones and traffic lights correctly). I have put the...

Dashcam & Sandisk iXpand USB Drive

Same issue here. It's not a flash drive issue either; I have used 3 flash drives (one iXpand, one Sandisk SD card with USB reader, and one cheap drive I had laying around). It's 100% a software problem. All of them have the same problem; every single file will be 1kb. It's a bit frustrating...

    Multiple things not working

This is fairly common and has happened to myself. This happens to cars that have Sentry Mode on (and thus never sleep). Turn Sentry Mode off and make sure no apps are pinging the car. Once it falls asleep, let it sleep for 30 minutes or so. After that, it'll be fixed.

MASTER THREAD: USB drives that work with Sentry and TeslaCam

Update: I used the SD Card reader (with Sandisk SD card, not Samsung as mentioned above, I mixed them up) and everything has been working fine. 24.4 must have somehow fried my old USB drive, I am not sure what happened. Either way, I am happy that it is still working and that I don't need to go...

    Just got 2019.24.4

You can open it in VLC, which will be able to show you the codec: Find out Video Resolution and Frame Rate using VLC

MASTER THREAD: USB drives that work with Sentry and TeslaCam

I use a Sandisk Connect USB drive (200GB) and even since I upgraded to 2019.24.4 I have been getting nothing but 1kb files. I didn't get any error on my screen, it claims that it's working fine but both Senty Mode and Dashcam videos are affected. This used to happen sporadically (just like...

    Just got 2019.24.4

Thanks. I guess I got unlucky then. It must not be true that they are only manufacturing HW3 vehicles at this point, weird. I'm worried about the HW3 upgrade, based on Tesla's track records. My guess is that it will take a LOT of time before they will even get you into a SC, and then god knows...

    Just got 2019.24.4

Yeah, that's what I've heard too, but I read a couple of people that claim they have HW3 but they are on the H.264 codec. I have a June 4th build date, did I just get really unlucky? My understanding was that any car built in June should have HW3

    Just got 2019.24.4

So what is the best way for someone to check their HW version? I hear mixed answers to this question all the time (FSD, built date, video codec, etc.) I purchased a Model 3 in June (with FSD), built date on the door says June, but my codec is H.264. I always assumed that means that I have...
