Thanks for the link! Am I reading it right that out of $1.199B analyzed so far, $1.164B (97% of it) will add to the deficit? That is not very encouraging for finding moderate support, especially since this has been touted as "paid for" with tax changes. :/

There must be a lot of $500k earners on this forum to keep talking about that aspect of the bill. I'm more interested in news on passage of the bill and any changes relating to mere mortals (car pricing cutoff, effective date, etc). I thought they advertised they wanted a vote by 11/15...

I wonder why some are experiencing rubbing with the 265/40 and some are not. Also, this thread is the first I've heard of traction control issues, which would be my main concern. On "old school" cars, changing wheels or tires could trigger TC, since the car senses slip by measuring...

Luckily doors seem pretty easy as well. It's really just that front bumper that looks like a major PITA. Personally I will probably just use front flaps, as we don't have road salt or sand to worry about where we live.

Personally I prefer the R1S in virtually every way over the Model Y P, except for lack of charging infrastructure, which is a big deal. We don't travel much but superchargers are a necessity when you do. The larger size (but still garage-able, unlike the colossal hummer or F150) is a benefit...

I'm thinking that paying a pro to do the front bumper, then tacking the hood and headlights as a DIY might be a good combo since they're pretty flat. Debating the value of doing the front fenders, as only a tiny strip of panel is exposed to the incoming air. Are you guys...

Yikes! I was thinking of changing my color on my order just last night, but I guess I'll live with what I reserved now.

There won't be a price increase for me as I ordered after the most recent one. I'm only concerned about losing my hold until Feb 5. I have the question out but haven't heard back from Tesla yet... edit: I decided to just try it. It didn't drop the hold and took the configuration change.

Does anyone know if editing your design for an order on hold removes the hold? Both the "remove hold" and "edit order" buttons are clickable, I just don't want to lose my one time hold!

I replied to the generic "Welcome to the Tesla family" text I got when I first entered my order. It said to reply to that text if order help is needed. I don't have a contact, know anyone's name, or even know if it's the same person replying each time! The reply did come from another number.

Just another data point: I ordered Nov 5, and texting customer service, they allowed me a "one time" hold for 90 days past order date. So Feb 5 for me. Hopefully that's enough time to let the tax credit legislation work itself out. They did tell me if I drop the hold in my account I can't...
