Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

For used cars is exactly what I was thinking - my son just bought a 2019 M3 with 80K miles. Would have been much easier decision if the cost of “piece of mind” up to 150K was known.

It is absolutely a concern of potential buyers (particularly those looking at used vehicles). Why not offer an extended warranty and eliminate that concern (and make money off of them as costs come down )

I think Tesla needs to offer an extended warranty for the battery. Could be priced according to the battery health (I am sure they have the data now) and even if it was a fair amount of money, would still eliminate the huge concern that potential buyers would have.

Seems to me she started with the view that it was an “unfathomable sum”, and everything flowed from there. So almost by definition there is no possible legitimate way for someone to be rewarded an unfathomable sum thus something in the process had to be wrong. if you start there then pretty easy...

    Any risks ordering inventory cars?

I mentioned in another thread, if anybody is placing an order with a discount, make sure you immediately download the order agreement showing this. Because if for whatever reason, later that discount is no longer tagged with your car, it will give you the ability to prove that you are supposed...

    Order price changed by $5K!!

All appears to have been fixed, BUT it was only easy because I had a copy of my original order agreement. In my account, the order agreement got saved over with the new one (that did not have the discount), but luckily I had downloaded a copy prior to that happening. So moral of the story - as...

    Order price changed by $5K!!

Neither order agreement has a VIN on it (they do list a RN, and those are the same). The MVPA does have a VIN, but it only appeared in my documents folder after I scheduled the delivery.

    Order price changed by $5K!!

This is my 3rd Tesla purchase, and never had this experience before. I saw an inventory M3 with a significant discount ($4720 - definitely high, but not unusual as several with similar amounts off were available across the US). I placed the order at 3:40pm on 9/7, the order agreement confirmed...

well, except for the M3 which was long range RWD at first (basically middle of the trim levels)

Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

Fortunately my first time in this situation, but I had to sell a fair amount of TSLA stock at a loss (some short term and long term) this year in a normal investment account. Bad situation, but I would like to make the most out of those losses. I know if I make some gains selling other stock...

I noticed that it also now lists non-Tesla chargers that I had visited previously.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Well, my Tesla will come to me in the parking lot, plays games with me, has cameras recording all around that even allow remote viewing, can play custom light/music shows, allows me to assign/manage drivers over an app, and can basically drive itself. I don’t pretend to know the definition of...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I was trying to figure out how much of the IRA $7500 Tesla was giving back for the 3 so I configured a 3 Sr+, 3p, Y and YP all for $60,990 (using various options to get to the same total), and with identical lease options, the monthly amounts were $598, $748, $711 and $735. I imagine there are...

Tesla has the CCS adapter -it works fine (and gives me access to alternatives), but it is ridiculously big and cumbersome. Why would this country not pick something better, cheaper and more convenient to use given there is no real standard at the moment?

Does seem like the same 4680 pack that is in the Austin MY AWD would get pretty close to 300 miles in a M3
