Anyone tried the Realdealev replacement instrument screen?

I'm on my 2nd screen on my P85D, and the 2nd one (I fitted a used example 2 yrs ago) is bubbling. Anyone have experience of the Realdealev units, they offer a reman and a screen without the glass so never have the glue issue again. Anyone tried it, seen one?

Ownership journal: living with a used P85D

Still loving my car however had a couple of repairs this week, the strangest one was the rear passenger door chrome trim fell off the car at some stage recently. Ebay wanted $95 for a used one + shipping. Service center was $111 fitted, honestly some Tesla parts shock me as to how cheap they are...

An update on the front DU seals leaking, the car went into the SC today and they replaced both seals and the RH axle under the DU warranty. I had booked the car in to check the leaks and had asked a few times whether it was covered, if not I would have done the job myself. However they confirmed...

Anyone replace the front DU/axle seals

Thank you for this feedback this is exactly what I was looking for. With regard to your comments on dropping the subframe, would that be your recommendation for removing the front seals? Having removed the frunk tub it seems like there is reasonable access to the RHS (Passenger) in vehicle but a...

Yes, but from what I have read to clear the warning you need to disconnect the battery

Ownership journal: living with a used P85D

As noted by others it’s been bitterly cold here recently and it seems to have taken its toll on my battery, on Saturday I got the “Replace 12v battery soon” or words to that effect. After testing it showed 12.6v which isn’t bad so decided to give it a full charge first before replacing it...

Anyone replace the front DU/axle seals

I had to take the frunk out of my car due to a battery issue, in doing so I noticed that my seals are weeping/leaking. Not keen on paying Tesla $$$ in labor for a $20 part. I’ve done diff seals on other cars and generally it’s an easy job just take time to remove hubs/suspension to get to the...

Latest update to my car, I noticed that the passenger front door handle wasn’t presenting when touched. Pretty obvious why on removing the handle it looks like the vapor barrier had fallen off exposing the wiring, then the window clasp mechanism then basically ripped all the wiring out. I...

You could argue that a Tesla with the extended motor and battery warranty is a better high mile bet than an ICE, as with any car higher miles will mean higher risks of wear on suspension components etc. If the car is priced attractively and has a good history then as long as you factor in a...

Replace the door handle gear paddle today, I didn’t take pics as there are numerous videos to undertake the work. I purchased the paddle off Amazon for $30 shipped, honestly I made the purchase before finding out SC’s sell them. I think the one I purchased is the Tesla part as it’s a machined...

Disappointed to say that the rear drivers door handle stopped presenting itself today, I've ordered a replacement stainless steel gear paddle (the part that fails) off Amazon for $30 shipped. Hopefully its delivered next week and I'll post the repair.

    Preventative eMMC Repair - options

As I have posted elsewhere, last week I booked my car in with the SC and had the daughterboard replaced as a preventative measure for $313. Initially they contacted me and tried to upgrade me to the MCU2, I declined and they went ahead with the work.

Simple question, do you have your car set to standard or advanced?

Tesla Covering Some MCU1 Issues for Some Owners
