Fix of HV battery P85+ 2014 How to read BMS / BMB?

Okay Kenny, since you have the high voltage battery open, You have the bmb missing in action DTC's. Closely recheck and inspect all connections on the master bmb board. If you have knowledge and equipment, back probe brick voltages at pictured board connector. If all else fails, call this...

    New tesla owner

Because she, as well as someone else I know, as well as innumerable other people, live on Fantasy Island. It's got free supercharging. It will cost me nothing to run. I can't lose! Then reality hits, they are furious with Tesla and almost always, as NV Ray said, they are never heard from...

Tesla Reman Replacement HV battery failure trend?

@ Texas Chris, Can I trouble you to repeat and post your TM-SPY results at another pack charge level? Almost empty, say 5%. I have found the 5% (or less) level to be the most telling indicator of battery imbalance health. In the meantime, look at your current TM-SPY readings. Full high...

Model S from US (now in Ukraine) does not start

When you say 8200, am I correct in thinking 8200 U.S. dollars? If so, interesting, not very expensive including shipping. I see your car came from Atlantic City, New Jersey, a lovely salty wet environment. Your first photo shows "grayed out" battery modules. My educated guess would be a "no...

Model S from US (now in Ukraine) does not start

Can you please tell us how much you paid for that fine New Jersey Model S? After that, remove your high voltage pack, open it up, and do a thorough pack inspection. You have tons of help available to you in Ukraine.

New battery with lower range and BMS error

I see you now have a useable remaining pack energy level of 84.1 kwh. Were you wise enough to record your useable on your, now failed, original battery? I just had my in warranty 2016 90 kwh battery replaced under the 8-year warranty. I was prepared for that scenario. I kept track of my...

    Beware EV's Republic

EV's Republic, Rancho Cordova, California. My in person visit. Three attendants at their desks behind computers. I talked about a future battery replacement for my 2016 Model S. One aspect of the conversation threw up a red flag. We could not agree on battery range for the replacement...

Was Tesla "software capping" 75kwh batteries to 60kwh in 2017?

    2016 Model S Windshield Issue

Our 2014 S had a similar (mild) version of your windshield. My guess was lesser quality adhesive used on the car. I always dismissed it as cosmetic. Please let us know if Tesla is willing to re-adhesive or replace the glass.

    Battery imbalance cell reading changes

I was trying to make out the numbering on your somewhat fuzzy scan my Tesla attachment photo. You are probably correct with modules 8 and 10. The important thing is that you get what I'm driving at. And the layout attachment above shows correctly. You know what you're doing. You'll be fine...

    Battery imbalance cell reading changes

Okay 5J, It sounds like you're moving in the right direction. Pull modules 9 and 11 out of the pack. Measure voltage on 6 individual bricks on each module. Do some bricks measure 1 or 2 volts? Yes? Module requires replacement. No? 3 volts or more? Lucky you. Most likely BMS board on the module...
