    I certainly hope so!

    Model Y Nitpick Thread

Starting HVAC immediately upon opening any door is annoying. I trained myself to turn off HVAC before exiting the car. If you just want to go grab something from the car in the garage quickly HVAC will immediately try to turn on. There should be a setting/option to delay HVAC start upon open...

    Model Y comfort suspension?

Great post thanks. I came to the same conclusion with the "comfort" suspension being 10-15% better. I test drove a 2023. I own a 2021. Certainly I was expecting (hoping?) for more improvement than 10-15%. I came away underwhelmed.

    Manufacture Date & Delivery Date

Well that's good. Maybe it was just older "new" inventory. New car sales aren't super great right now in most of the world due to high interest rates and inflation eating up people's money. That is affecting Tesla as well with new car sales not growing anywhere near the rates they did last year.

    Manufacture Date & Delivery Date

That does seem a bit long. My manufacture date was January and I got mine in early March (that was back in 2021). Some time from manufacturing is normal. They would have to ship it to Australia of course (from China). But 6 months is a bit long. How many km were on the car when you picked...

Can you Walk-in and buy a Tesla Model Y on the spot? Inventory shows Immediately Available

In my experience walk-ins are pretty common and allowed. If you want to buy the car the sales advisor will sit down with you and complete the same steps to order it "online" as you would have at home. There are many people who want/need that assistance. Whether or not you can drive away with...

Poor Model Y LR build quality and TESLA Calgary poor service

Well that's a relief! Congrats on your car!

Poor Model Y LR build quality and TESLA Calgary poor service

My heart would have sunk, but I probably would have refused delivery if they tried to deliver me a dirty car like that. Tesla needs to be more consistent and do better.

My Experience Taking my Model Y down to 0%

Agreed. I'm not really obsessing about it, but luckily for me, charging to 50 or 55% daily fits my use case, as I only typically commute to work 25km there and back, then run a few errands. So for me it's totally fine to keep the car between 40-55%. I'm not letting anything stop me from...

My Experience Taking my Model Y down to 0%

I won't link you to any scientific studies, but I can tell from my experience smaller discharges and charging to mostly between 40-55% has done no harm (and looks like some good) to my battery. Look at this graph and 2023-24 where I started doing smaller discharges and charging to 50 or 55%...

    Canada Waiting Room

There was a video on twitter from yesterday showing all the cars offloaded from a ship in port at Vancouver.

    2024 Ys 10% off already

Tesla does contact potential customers and previous customers for test drives/demo drives. They even offered it to me last time I was at a SC - if I wanted to test drive a new '23. Of course I did. But after that they weren't after me like a traditional car salesperson at a dealership. They...

Don't wait, do PPF as soon as you can

Agreed. A guy in a Walmart parking lot hit my door with his door...big chip out of the paint. I confronted him (had it on sentry) and made him pay me on the spot the cost of the paint repair kit. But you can still see it as the Tesla white paint repair kit is lame. Doesn't match the colour...

    Man, times have changed.

Nice. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the suspension. I have a 21 MY also. I test drove a '23 and did find the suspension softer, but mostly only over smaller bumps, not larger ones. Perhaps (subjectively) a 10-15% improvement. It wasn't enough of a difference for me to want to...
