In late 2001 I retired, sold the house, our cars and many of our possessions and started traveling. Since Jan 2002 my wife and I have lived off the grid aboard a 42 foot sailing catamaran - world travel powered by sun and wind. After 3 years in the Caribbean we transited the Panama canal and have been visiting island nations of the Pacific ever since. In June 2014 we sailed from Yokohama to Alaska, then along the beautiful coast of British Columbia, US West coast and now Mazatlan, Mexico. In 2017 we made Santa Fe our home base.
