    T450S Panel

Interesting. I read it as being a new panel given the other items in the table were also panels/roof v3. oddly enough our mci’s (installed April-ish this year) went bad resulting in arc faults. Definitely did their job. Bulges in the middle where they went pop.

    T450S Panel

I saw reference to this panel in documentation below. Is this new? Anyone notice it before? https://tesla-cdn.thron.com/delivery/public/document/tesla/02ae4f8f-aa42-4b03-8866-e5b1bd558a9d/bvlatuR/WEB/solar-inverter-solar-shutdown-device-datasheet-en-na

    Expanding My 6.0kW System - 4.08kW + 2x PW

Agree. I did come close the other day if the app is to be trusted.

    Expanding My 6.0kW System - 4.08kW + 2x PW

In my case I got Tesla to cover the cost of the transformer. They (NG) bizarrely take the sum of the PW and Inverters. In my case 6 PWs and 3 7.6 Inverters. Sum of 52.8 which is over the 50kv transformer. Depending on who your case manager is at NG they will be flexible and work with you, I’ve...

Lightning [in my area right now 07JUL2021]

We have a pretty severe thunderstorm right now and have lost grid power. What is odd is that the strikes are causing blips of up to 1.2kW of solar. Is that normal during the flashes to see pulses of solar generation?

PW's discharge rate during "Grid Services" event.

I see something similar. It’s pretty cool and covers the cost of the PWs in the short run.

    Gateway updated to 21.20.2

This firmware completely screwed up and ignored all the customization options. So much so that I had to have the PW folks remote in to fix. I did notice that this firmware has the Tesla Inverters listed in the Installer config, and added some other options. My issue however was that the solar...

    Tesla Inverter over temperature error

Are any of the strings going over 10amps ? I’ve got two of the inverters in close proximity under the roof in a non ventilated space and they do just fine.

    Discussion: "Powerwall +"

Can't remember if I read this or not but I asked about the new PW+ whilst dealing with some other stuff today. Was told that it is only for installs of 9.6 kW or less. Any solar install larger than that will use the Gateway + Inverters. Max stack of 2 additional batteries for a combined total of...

    Tesla AC Powerwall *2.1* installed?

FWIW all 6 of mine are 3012170 - installed in April 21.

+1 to @Mark_T. National Grid / Ever Grid moves at snail pace. I would hedge a bet this will take 6+ months before being approved.

    Discussion: "Powerwall +"

I’m curious how they will handle local requirements, like National Grid in the NE, that require a second meter to measure the solar generation. According to the folks here, that is an issue, one that was over looked. As of now there is no solution hence they are continuing to install Gateway + PW.

I was told one PW Plus will support an additional 2 PWs. What happens beyond 3 is unclear.

    Discussion: "Powerwall +"

Confirmed with local crew who are here today that this is legit. Some comments; If the PWs are stacked (more than one) only one of these is required for every stack. The top is the inverter with integrated breakers for PW(s) It's not DC to DC, powerwall remains the same with integrated inverter...
