Same for me. I'm in California, and due to take delivery of Model Y in May/June, but want to specify Austin built car. Would gladly take delivery in TX, even if it pushes the delivery date out. What's the process?

HUH? The iPhone model I bought 18 months ago is now ~1/3 the cost. Apple introduces new versions. Tesla introduces new versions. There's not much that physically depreciates on a phone. A car? Different story. An iPhone has ~3 year life. A Tesla has ~20 year life Just relax & enjoy the car!

You bought a new car. They tend to depreciate the minute you drive them off the lot. Just a reality of life. If that's difficult to accept, you should just buy used cars that have already depreciated (although they will continue to depreciate). And per your headline (Price cuts hurt owners)...

Totally agree. I adjust my speed setpoint for a few seconds to get my car out of blindspots. AP should be smart enough to avoid sitting in blindspots.

With OTA updates, your Model 3 is going to be relevant and leading-edge for many years.

I agree that that is how it works now, (although automatic braking does work in low speeds in stop & go traffic), but why can't AEB be applied at slower speeds, and avoid impacts altogether (as opposed to reducing impact). It always knows relative speeds and distance.

Seems like AP was not engaged. That said, I would hope AEB gets to the point soon where, regardless of AP, the car just doesn't hit cars in its' path. The slippery slope with that is that people will just have the car do all the braking, which of course is a bad idea without working FSD...
