    Auto Wipers

I have a 2020 Y, and I have to say that the auto wiper feature has gotten progressively worse. Recently, I made a 3.5 hour trip north into VT. The wipers activated every 10-15 minutes or so, especially when clouds or an underpass blocked out the sun. On the flip side, when it is actually...

    Tow hitch

With all the thought and engineering that seems to go into every little aspect of the car, it amazes me that this part of the Y has not been redesigned. The solution is clumsy at best and can be truly annoying at times.

Model Y 19" Tires, North California

I have run the Vredestein’s now for bit over one year in New England weather. My results are somewhat different than described above. My snow/ice experience has been far better than OEM, no contest. The car remains steady in curves and stops effectively. My efficiency drop has been closer to...

Referral plan changed after order and Tesla gave lower referral credit

I appreciate this view. However, it is interesting that Tesla kept the purchaser’s deal intact based on the time of order (not payment). I’m not really upset about this, as I’m receiving a reward for doing very little. However, it also seems that a deal set and confirmed will be realized in the end.

Referral plan changed after order and Tesla gave lower referral credit

Referred a friend who purchased a Model S. When he placed the order, I received a message from Tesla stating that 20,000 points were pending. During the wait time for pick up of the S, the program changed, dropping to 10,000. However, the original posting from Tesla never changed or updated. In...

    Updates to referral program (7/7/23)

During the wait time for pick up of the S, the program changed, dropping to 10,000. However, the original posting from Tesla never changed or updated. In...

    Supercharger Full

On a return trip from Upstate NY yesterday and pulled into an almost full set of Superchargers. While changing, the final two stalls were filled with non-Tesla’s. When a few more Tesla drivers came along and saw this, they were not happy. Making things worse, these Supercharger newbie’s took a...

    Goodyear Electric Drive GT

And the best is yet to come. No more fishtailing in the snow. This, for me, might be the best benefit between the V-Pros and OEM. Looking forward to hearing about your efficacy numbers.

    Goodyear Electric Drive GT

Been running Vredestein quatrac pro’s since last September. Over the long winter in New England, these tires were roughly 4-5% less efficient overall. Prior to the real cold months of fall, and now the warming months of spring, the tires have been on par with OEM. I suspect, with a full warm...

What knowledge do we have about best tires for range efficiency and low road noise?

Been running Vredestein quatrac pro’s since last September. Over the long winter in New England, these tires were roughly 4-5% less efficient overall. Prior to the real cold months of fall, and now the warming months of spring, the tires have been on par with OEM. I suspect, with a full warm...

Fragile top glass and windshield 😠

2 full replacements and a repair on a 3rd since October of 2020. I had one replaced windshield on a BMW in my previous 40 years of driving. Same roads, same style of driving. Coincadence?

Michelin CC2, Vredestien Quatrac Pro, or Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail?

After coming through a New England winter, I have some follow-up numbers for the Vredestien Quatrac Pro. Compared to lifetime efficiency, pre-changeover, I have taken less than a 5% hit. Having said this, the V Pro’s have not lived through the entire spring or a summer. In the past month or...

    Rattles, Rattles…Everywhere

Thanks for the support and suggestions from each of you. I will use the video for help later this weekend. Having said this, I’m pretty sure this is not my main issue. In the future, hopefully Tesla will become more realistic about these types of issues and better work to rectify them.

    Rattles, Rattles…Everywhere

Relatively early adopter with a September 2020 build. Currently at 37000 miles and never needed to bring the car in for major service. I think it is a tremendous car that balances practicality with fun. However, in all my years of driving, 40 plus, I have never owned a car that rattles so...

    Model Y long term issues

3 plus years in with Model Y. No issues that couldn’t be dealt with by Ranger, so, nothing big. My biggest concern is, if larger issues do occur. Currently, the closest service center is about 2 hours away. Further, these centers are already overwhelmed by appointments. Combined, this does not...
