Model 3 Alarm Going Off When Opening Door!

I just started experiencing this about three weeks ago. It's happened about three times since. Oddly, it's only happened at one particular place in a one particular parking spot--all three times. And it's a spot that I only occasionally park in (not at home). It's as if the problem is...

Model Y Perf or BMW X3M?

I was a long-time BMW owner (3-series / 2-series for about 17 years or so.) Sold our last 2-series two years ago to buy our Model 3. I haven't regretted that decision for even a second. I think you really need to get your butt into a Tesla Model 3/Y for a few days straight to get a solid feel...

TACC/AP way too slow to react to speed limits (in Germany, at least)

I'm sure this has been addressed by others previously, but I'm unable to find any posts on the subject at the moment. It's my experience (and the experience of my local Speeding Ticket Issuers) that my Model 3--while TACC/AP is engaged--doesn't react nearly as fast as it should when entering a...

Keep an Eye on Rear Passengers Entering, Prevent Smashed Fingers

I don't know, but there's something different about it. I've owned 2 BMW 3-series and one 2-series and it never happened in those. (We sold our four-door 2-series to get the Model 3 almost exactly one year ago, so my BMW experiences aren't very far behind me.)

Keep an Eye on Rear Passengers Entering, Prevent Smashed Fingers

Not necessarily. Different cars have different designs. But I also don't recall this ever happening in any other vehicle I've owned over the last 38 years. This isn't a dig against my Model 3. I absolutely love it. I wouldn't redesign it in any way. This was meant only as a reminder that...

Keep an Eye on Rear Passengers Entering, Prevent Smashed Fingers

3 times. 3 completely different sets of passengers. What can I say...I have friends, neighbors, and family. Some of them are in their 90s. Some of them aren't marathon runners and aren't always smooth on their feet. Some of them maybe have a secret case of hemorroids, walk bow-legged, and...

Keep an Eye on Rear Passengers Entering, Prevent Smashed Fingers

This is a bit generic, but I've seen it happen three times now in Model 3's... Tesla Model 3 front seat occupants should, in particular, use caution when closing the front doors anytime someone with mobility impairment is entering the back seat area. As the driver, I've now witnessed three...

    Calling all military/ veteran owners

On the one hand, that's great, but on the other: if they're being used for POVs but monies aren't being collected and being deposited into a appropriated funds unit account...uh oh. But I'm hijacking the thread at this point and that wasn't my intention. Thanks for all the replies!

    Calling all military/ veteran owners

I'm not suggesting free. Current law would allow Peterson to permit POVs to charge there on a reimbursable basis (at cost of the electricity). If the chargers are already needed, they wouldn't ever be required to charge extra for the EVSE. Monies collected would be put into the official...

    Calling all military/ veteran owners

Sound advice, but--no offense--these are all things I'm aware of and have already tried with three different installations. One base commander said go to AAFES. AAFES said we're not interested--we rake in the cash with gasoline sales and suggested I go to MWR. MWR said "not unless you bring...

    Calling all military/ veteran owners

So how do we bring “workplace charging” onto Air Force installations? DOE has it. GSA has it. (Congress even put it into law, so it’s just a matter of getting the installation to implement it.) Has anyone been involved in successfully and legally initiating workplace charging on an USAF or Army...

    Heated Steering Wheel?

We were bummed last year to find out that our Model 3 wouldn't have a heated steering wheel. But then we took delivery (in winter in Germany) and have never thought about it a single time since then (except when I see threads like these!) Always had them in our BMWs but we just don't miss it...

Tesla upgraded my car to 2020.4.1 while in service without authorization

Anything you feel that strongly about should be vocalized at every opportunity. Personally, I would never have assumed that they'd not update...

Bad white model 3 seat stains

I think it's more about what you've got on your body that's making the tighty whities not so whitey. Going on a year now and my white Tesla seats have been subjected to far less feces than my shorts, probably because my shorts have been helping to protect my seats!
