Southern CA Edison rates make it not worth charging at home

It probably isn't; she's probably using less than 100W for her compute on average. If she's using a laptop it definitely isn't.

Farmington, NM to Page, AZ Superchargers - Sweat it or not?

This stretch of road is mostly a rural 2 lane highway; you don't have an easy way to pass a semi anyway. They are rare but regular trucks are not. Drafting any car should give some benefit, and aero benefits usually start to become noticeable when you get within 5 seconds of the previous...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Music might take 30 Watts... per hour. Is essentially a non-factor. If you run out of battery 1 mile before your destination you can blame me.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

This is really odd. You are correct that your displayed range changes based on available kWh which drops as power is used. However, this power usage is not counted in your Wh/mile odometer display.

Farmington, NM to Page, AZ Superchargers - Sweat it or not?

I wouldn't hesitate to do the Farmington-Page leg in a model 3 LR with 82kw battery. I would start at 100% with a preconditioned battery, start early to minimize the need for AC and keep an eye on the trip energy projection. You could avoid any risk by staying overnight in Bluff or Monument...

Charging table - time to charge at 120/240V considering efficiency+

Unfortunately, that efficiency is likely accurate, in which case you are spending an extra 15% on electricity vs. the optimum. When charging, not all power is used for charging; some constant overhead is used to operate the computer and BMS; let's say 200W. At 120V, this would be about 1.5A...

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

There is a really good thread in the Model 3 subforum. In summary the Hubbell 9450a and Bryand 9450fr are great, Cooper 5754n is good, do not use the Leviton 279-S00.

Charging table - time to charge at 120/240V considering efficiency+

Here are the results of a recent Tesla model 3 charging test. Conveniently some of their results are really easy to remember. From the first infographic: 0-60% in 21 minutes 60-90% in 21 minutes 90-100% in 21 minutes Also from the article: For now, the difference between V2 and V3...

Ugh. 36 minutes to charge 110mi at a Supercharger (1.5 hours including drive of 24 miles roundtrip)

It would be, but it's not. The mile estimate that replaces battery percentage takes the remaining battery kWh and multiplies it by the EPA rated miles/kWh.

Ugh. 36 minutes to charge 110mi at a Supercharger (1.5 hours including drive of 24 miles roundtrip)

The advantage to using battery % instead of miles is it reduces anxiety when dealing with "battery degradation"/reduced range that will happen. Some of the degradation is real, usually a good amount of the displayed degradation is because the BMS's guess at remaining charge has drifted a...

Convince me to install a Wall Connector

Your 14-30 should be able to recharge your battery from dead to 100% in 14h, or add 70% in about 10h.
