    Supercharger - Pecos, TX

We stayed in Pecos last week on a Monday night and the oil boom has gone crazy in the city. We went to 3 eating establishments and could not get seated at any. Just trying to find an RV Park with an opening was an adventure as was simply trying to get into a convenience store to buy gas. I...

    Supercharger - El Paso, Tx

I stopped by the Rudys today and there are several good locations in the back of the Rudys that would accommodate the Tesla SC. The Hampton and HIE are only a couple hundred yards next door. The Carl Jr is across the street. All in all a great location in my humble opinion.

    Supercharger - Ozona, TX

If other chargers are an indication I would say no. We used a SC on our way back from Kansas City to Dallas (not sure which one) and it was at a hotel that was closed and in the middle of a massive remodel from one chain to a Marriott I believe. SC worked fine. We walked a block or two to a...

Nav 8.0 - UI not made for driving

I wish they would auto hide the climate control bar at the bottom. It would really open more map space on the display. Might be some other reason they did not make that change.

How does the updated 90D get 300 miles range??

My 12month old, 16,000 mile 85D has 243 miles of rated range at 90% charge. I charge it about twice a week.

Shamrock Texas Supercharger at Route 66 icon "U-Drop Inn" underway

I thought Gregg County was in East Texas? Longview? Are there two?

    Tesla range anxiety

I totally eliminated any chance of Model S range anxiety... by owning and driving a Nissan Leaf for 3 years... The practical highway range on my Leaf was about 68 miles... I used it to commute round trip to my volunteer job that was 58 miles round trip. The "range" meter on the Leaf is...

    Overnight Test Drive Option?

I went to the Gallery here in Dallas and after an hour sitting in a show car, ordered mine without ever having a test drive. I had one "scheduled" for 10 days later because the State of Texas would not issue any more permits for Tesla to offer Test drives that month. I am so glad I ordered...

If gas were $0.66 per gallon......

Here in Texas electricity rates have dropped with the price of gas. Last month I drove 1131 miles and charging completely at home cost me $8.37. Comparatively even at $1.59 for Diesel that same distance would have cost me $99 in my truck. I am fortunate to live in an area where electricity is...

Cruise Control Not Available (Autopilot too)

+1 on DCGOO.... Every time mine is facing a late afternoon or morning sun I get it disabled... I sure hope they can resolve this with a future firmware upgrade

Body Shop Repair Costs--for me, a deal killer?

A good paintless dent repair guy can easily fix your marble size dents... I got one singe hail stone dent in my frunk and $50 later even I could not see it... Interestingly enough the tech said that the quality of the paint job on the Tesla was excellent... He said it rivaled some high end...

Autopilot is perfect for long highway commutes

Because I retired 5 years ago I really only "commute" one day a week to my volunteer job that is 30 miles away... I come home in Dallas rush hour traffic at 6:30pm and it is soooo relaxing... The worse the traffic the more relaxing it is... I lay my head back on the head rest.... Keep a couple...

Body Shop Repair Costs--for me, a deal killer?

I think MrElbe's post #21 shows the Tesla repairs can be "realistic". I would certainly get another estimate and dig deeper into what is going on.
