    Supercharger team sacked?

Considered? Yes. But then decided against for now. I mentioned elsewhere I may put in at least a “mental” stop loss order at $122/share, my current basis. It’s one thing to admit one was wrong about a company and not make money, it’s another to hang on in desperation when one begins to lose...

To be pedantic, “decimate” literally means to reduce by 10%, so not really appropriate here. Though I’ll stipulate that in common usage it’s often used to mean to reduce by a substantial or extreme amount.

    Supercharger team sacked?

I hate that I'm becoming cynical, but how much can we really trust what Elon says?

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Don’t recall that. But I do recall a car company (Volvo?) a few decades ago floating the idea of what it would take to make a car last “forever”. Two main problems presented themselves… 1) The car would cost several times what a conventional car would cost, due largely to the cost involved in...

Do you use Superchargers? And if so, do you have to drop the trailer each time to do so? I ask because we delayed our CyberTruck purchase for the time being and bought a lightly used Toyota Tundra largely for towing. It kinda sucks going back to ICE, but there’s no denying the convenience of...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

I mentioned before the obvious effect these firings must have on the morale of remaining employees. Add to that the effect on potential employees - especially upper level management types. I suspect they would have to very seriously reconsider before going to work for someone so mercurial and...

In my head I answered “Google” in a heartbeat.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but what do you suppose these Draconian cuts do to employee morale overall? I imagine there was a certain pride in being a Tesla employee, but it would be hard not to have "Sword of Damocles" feelings now among the remaining employees.

Not sure about that. For example, they opened 24 stalls in Powell, TN, north of Knoxville. Two other Supercharger locations nearby, though this one has easy I-75 access while the others don’t. Still, this is still just north of a Supercharger “desert” I mentioned before. That “desert” is...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Not so long ago, I posted this: Recent developments certainly haven’t helped in this regard, with firings of “new product” and Supercharger employees. Maybe there’s “method to the madness”, but the perception of loss of direction clearly doesn’t inspire confidence. I’m even more discouraged...

Why can’t GPS be used to calibrate the speedometer?

It’s simpler than that, I think. If a speedometer is a tad optimistic, it has you going into turns a bit more slowly than you think you’re going. Not much harm in that. But if a speedometer is pessimistic, the inverse is true - you’re going faster than you think you are, and harm can come of...

The mountains of Appalachia are a very popular tourist destination - we have a home near the middle of the map below. This hardly seems like the time to slow down expansion.

    Cybertruck is a scam.

I’ve asked this before? Is the accelerator perfectly functional without the cover? If so, that makes delays in getting a new/revised cover less than trivial. Anyone here actually driven theirs that way?
