    AC Stink - solved

I believe that software update was released in 2019. 2020 at the latest. Mine is a 2021 model…so whatever they did didn’t seem to work.

    AC Stink - solved

Fair, I’m just speaking about my experience. I didn’t use any coil cleaner and live in an extremely humid climate. I’ve found success in not buying another set of $10 filters. tesla doesn’t make filters, they just get them from a supplier that makes car sized filters. My point is the material...

    AC Stink - solved

You may have the third filter revision (according to my friends that work for tesla is supposed to fix this issue). Hard to say since it all depends on supply chain etc…lots of variables but 8 mos and no stink is a very good sign. also this is more common in Tesla’s (3/y) with the octobottle or...

    AC Stink - solved

I think the “HEPA” (in the case of the filter I got) is simply marketing. Tbh I don’t care if it is or isn’t true HEPA - I just don’t want it to stink. So from my perspective they are a success.

    Model 3 AC Smell Update...

Get rid of the OEM filters. They are literally the problem. Any upgrade will do (hepa or not). Frankly I think hepa marketing is silly but I bought some and they don’t stink at all. I live in a high humidity area and they work. For me, that’s all I care about.

    AC Stink - solved

Hey everyone, I know this topic has been beat to death, however I wanted to offer my thoughts based on first hand experiences. Does your AC absolutely STINK?! The problem is the filters themselves. I’m an engineer and have been dabbling and experimenting with various solutions. The fix doesn’t...

    MY accelerated on it’s own!

My vehicle has done this a couple times in low speed settings. I discovered I have a tendency to inadvertently hit the shifter and trigger cruise. It’s far easier to do than one might think. (Especially after shifting out of park or reverse) After realizing this my car has not done it since.

What Kind of Car Did The Model 3 Replace?

I traded my 17 BMW 340i for the Model 3 LR AWD. I do miss the better seat bolstering of the BMW, also miss how light that car was. However there are many more pros than cons in the Tesla. I'm not looking back!

    Should I buy a model 3 if i can’t charge at home?

This is great conversation everyone! I sincerely appreciate everyone’s feedback. I didn’t intend to convince anyone that they should buy a car if doesn’t make sense for their life. My main goal was to communicate that my model 3 fits into my life better than I though it would. Everyone’s...

    Anyone tint the windshield 50%?

beautiful car friend!!! I love a white M3 with nicely tinted windows :)

    Anyone tint the windshield 50%?

Great question! The darkness of the tint actually has nothing to do with heat rejection (it’s a glare/cosmetic issue). You can get almost clear 70% tints that offer far superior heat rejection versus stock. In my experience the stock tesla windows let a TON of heat in. In order to protect your...

    Anyone tint the windshield 50%?

I live in GA, where the legal limit on sides and rear is 32%. I got nano ceramic on sides and rear (make sure you find a tint shop that can do the rear with a single piece...it looks like garbage if they use two or don't fully tint the rear window). I got 50% on the windshield. Technically not...

    Should I buy a model 3 if i can’t charge at home?

Wanted to offer my thoughts as an apartment dweller with no home charging... I picked up a M3 AWD LR on December 18...and I could not be more excited. I HEAVILY lurked these forums trying to determine if it was crazy to purchase an EV with absolutely ZERO access to home charging. Tl;dr...
