    2023 Holiday Update

Yup, my money is on the screaming goat on lock and a new light show.

Had tow pack fitted, tows fine but icon is yellow

For the sake of completeness I'll post update - the ranger came out and updated the car so I now have Trailer mode. Weirdly I don't have the 'apply brakes in lieu of regen braking' option, and the Ranger looked at me blankly when I asked about it - he wasn't familiar with that (which I thought...

Had tow pack fitted, tows fine but icon is yellow

It's a 2023 MYLR. Only had it about 6 weeks. I messaged service and they pushed out 2023.26.8 to me, but it was exactly the same afterwards, they've now said that they believe it's a configuration mismatch, so a Tesla Ranger is coming over next week to sort it. I'll post the outcome here, but...

What exactly does “Trailer mode” do.

This, I need closure too :)

Had tow pack fitted, tows fine but icon is yellow

Interesting, I don't have 'apply brakes when regen not available' nor the trailer mode, I'll book a service call I think!

Had tow pack fitted, tows fine but icon is yellow

I recently had the tow pack fitted by Tesla, when connecting my caravan, the trailer icon appears (yellow), everything works as expected and I can tow with no issues. I know yellow means ilthat trailer mode is inactive, but there is no option anywhere in my screen for trailer mode. The manual...

Has anyone connected up pins 9 and/or 10 on the towing electrics on a 3?

Did you ever find anything out on this? I'm thinking about making a short 13pin extension lead and putting 13v onto the perm live pin caravan side (just to run Alko ATC)

Model Y tow bar electrics not working

I have a recent MYLR (4 weeks old, 23 plate), just had a towbar fitted - during fitment they discovered that it needed this board so gave me a loaner overnight (M3P, rocketship!), all sorted by the next day and seems to work fine with my caravan lights. So it seems that it's still an ongoing...

2023 Model Y no USS discussion, incl. Discussion of Tesla Vision Firmware

This is such a nonsensical Tesla-apologist reply. Do you use _ANY_ driver conveniences? If so, then why? If you deviate from the basic car controls then you should immediately stop using them and learn to drive properly. 🙄 The point is that it's a basic ...and really useful... feature. We can...

2023 Model Y no USS discussion, incl. Discussion of Tesla Vision Firmware

    >> Is Park Assist with Tesla Vision as bad as I'm reading? I think it's next to useless, I would never rely on it - [it will _never_ be truly reliable either, not in comparison to some cheap USS] Utterly stupid decision by Tesla to remove them. In terms of rejecting the car - you pays your...

Reprogram used Model Y Key fob

Sorry to drag this up again - so in theory if I lost my key fob, someone could just keep it and program it to their car? That's really strange logic, I would've thought that you would have to unpair the key from one car before it could be re-paired to another. (With a dealer visit required if...

2023 Model Y no USS discussion, incl. Discussion of Tesla Vision Firmware

I've pulled the trigger and leased a Model Y Long Range. The Tesla MY was the best in terms of supercharger network, 4wd/power, economy, single pedal driving and availability, very quick delivery time. I'm still PO'd about the lack of sensors, I think Tesla are genuinely misguided in their...

2023 Model Y no USS discussion, incl. Discussion of Tesla Vision Firmware

I've test driven the RWD and LR (both amazingly good) - upon returning to the Tesla dealer, I had to parallel park at the side of the showroom as it was rather busy - no problem, slotted it into a spot. In front of me was a pallet with a largeish box on it, I happened to notice that the car...
