Buying used Model 3, new model 3 or Kia EV6

I have a 2018 Model 3 with 25K miles on it now. It's been 100% trouble-free. Only service item was to have the rear trans axles re-torqued. Fit n finish is as good as current models (from what I see in the showrooms). I have an early VIN - 11XXX and from what I heard, extra care was given...

    Fit bike in trunk

Can't do. I always have to take the front wheel off (56cm frame as well). Back wheel in first is the easiest way I find to load/unload.

    3 or Y

About 10% difference - 310 vs 280 miles range for AWD versions. For some, that maybe significant.

    3 or Y

What's more important - range or interior space? Otherwise, basically the same EV's.

    Lifetime Wh/mi

    LR RWD. ~ 14,000 miles. SoCal. 237 Wh/mi. Most commutes (60 miles r/t), I average under 210 wh/mi.

    Rotating Tires question

Here's some pics and you can see the tools I used in one or two of them -

    Rotating Tires question

No, just a socket style wrench/breaker bar to loosen and a torque wrench to install. They should not be so tight that you can hand loosen them.

    Rotating Tires question

My neighbor had the Tesla service tech come to the house to rotate the tires. I observed. Super easy to do yourself if you have a modest jack. Simply jack up at the jack point right in front of the rear tire. Jack up the car until both front and rear tires on that side are no longer...

Best Config for Overlanding - Dual or Tri-Motor?

Thanks. Good points. Definitely need the range and appears tri-motor would offer offroad benefits. We go out to Utah annually (Capital Reef/ Moad areas, exploring the moderate dirt/rocky roads) and would be cool if the Cybertruck could pull this off. Off-grid is usually under 200 miles, but...

Best Config for Overlanding - Dual or Tri-Motor?

What would be the best config for Overlanding and off-roading (not rock crawling, but decent class 3 stuff)? While I like the 500 mile range of the Tri-motor config for overlanding, I really don't need the performance. But if Tri-Motor is more suitable for off-roading, than I'd consider that...

This truck design had better be a joke....

Been looking at it for while now and really have no idea if I like it, hate it, or just don't know. No real reaction other than not knowing what to think. It is sooo different, it's hard to judge at this time. Specs are amazing. Gonna take a while to figure out what to actually think...

Do you ever worry about a blow out at 45psi?

Gonna have to try that. I've been running 42 cold which runs about 45psi hot.

Solid AP Improvements on v10 - Initial Impressions

One improvement I really appreciate is that it now recognizes a large truck or semi and moves off-center to the side away from the truck. My wife was always complaining about how close the Tesla would get to Semi's in AP mode. The new adjust is very nice and subtle. Overall, impressed with...

    Driving efficiency decrease with V10

Did my first commute on V10 - was getting around 212-218 w/mi pre-v10. Today, 201 w/mi. It's a little cooler out when I leave the office, so the AC may not have needed to work as hard. But the morning commute was definitely more efficient then prior commutes, driving the same route. RWD...
