2023 Model Y no USS discussion, incl. Discussion of Tesla Vision Firmware

My MY was delivered from Paramus NJ on Feb 14 and it is a Fremont built car. The OTA v.6.9 also tweaked the HVAC system, and it is now very similar to that of Lexus ...i.e. HVAC activated whenever you enter the vehicle but the blower fan doesn't kick in until the desired set temp is achieved...

    my new Model Y !!!!

I got my Model Y delivered on February 14 and so say the least I am quite exhilarated, compared to Mach-e it is a better EV specially from software and charging network perspective. However, Mach-e does have a better finish quality in cabin details and paint. The ride on the Model Y is quite...

Model Y - MATRIX LED HEADLIGHTS?

I just accepted my Model Y LR 7 seat option, production date of Jan'23 Fremont this past Tuesday, and after reading various blogs I think I got the matrix LED headlights, the bezel of headlight assembly is black and it got a projector lens on the outer edge and then on next to that I got what...

NJ - a one tag (plate) state?

I picked up my MY from Paramus Tesla Center and my car was delivered with only temporary paper tag in the rear. The front plate frame mount was in the trunk and I was instructed to come back with the tags (plates) once they are mailed to me directly from NJ DMV. I asked about NJ senate bill...

    Wall Connector Gen3

My bad ... the current is set for max 40A for a 50A circuit breaker. No need to worry !!! My question is shall I also set 40A max from car side? Or the EVSE will restrict the max current to 40A? PS: I guess I answered my own question, I did purposely toggle 40A from car side, and it stopped...

    Initial Wall Connector questions...

Please make sure at all of the screws at the bus and at breaker are very tight ...50 in-Lb to be exact, this may present a problem, for some of generic the branded breakers tie down screw literally will strip when torqued to 50 in-Lbs. I had once used a low cost generic NEMA 14-50 outlet and the...

    Wall Connector Gen3

Not really, it eventually stabilized (solid single green LED) but the software version is still 22.33.1 ... and I gave up! I tested by using a Model Y that the Tesla here in Orlando allowed me to keep overnight and it charge OK. I have a Wall Monitor app on my iPhone, and it says there is an...

Green light on Wall Connector...can I turn it off?

It not recommended by NEC ... but I saw an install from Australia on YouTube and they had what they called an "isolation swtich" which obviously is allowed there. I have seen motor starter/disconnect switches installs for industrial applications, but these devices are expensive. I don't know if...
