USB not recognised after formatting with car?

I stand corrected. Just had to have a properly-formatted USB drive plugged in to get the viewer. Unfortunately, an idiot on an overly-loud motorcycle had set the alarm off a second time later in the morning, so the footage of someone hitting my car was overwritten. Seems onboard memory only...

USB not recognised after formatting with car?

Oh, this is worth looking up! I did get a notification through the app. However I have a 2018 M3, so I'm not sure I have onboard memory...

USB not recognised after formatting with car?

When I say completely blank, I mean it. The car didn't create the "TeslaCam" folder after formatting. So that's probably why I have no files. Known issue?

USB not recognised after formatting with car?

I have a USB drive that I use for my dashcam, and a short time ago I got a notice that the drive was almost full. Having no incidents that I needed footage for, I used the in-car operation to format the drive, and then went about my merry way. Fast forward a couple weeks, and my car was dinged...

    Preconditioning for an hour??

I recently updated to 2021.4.11 and had need to travel from San Diego to LA, and set a supercharge stop about an hour away. As you can see in the attached photo, my car started preconditioning, even though I was 65 miles away from the charging station (nav was set to the L3 charger), and it was...

Highway speed limit issue with 40.4 update

I just did a 4400 mile road trip from San Diego to Chicago (along route 66) and back (along I-80) and MAN the stupid speed limit detector really wasn't working worth a crap. To be fair, most of the time it saw speed limit signs correctly, including unexpected road construction limits. However...

    Pre-2019 HW3 upgrades

I was in the San Diego service center just yesterday replacing a tire due to a bolt that had conveniently punctured it. (I have no proof, but I suspect foul play.) At any rate, I asked the service tech a couple questions: 1) The battery range seems to have been degrading, and is clearly shown...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

AP/FSD accelerates very conservatively, no matter what the drive setting is at. Logically, this maximizes battery range and is safer, particularly for an automated drive.

Thoughts on Tesmat camping mattress for Model 3

Another option is Dreamcase. https://dreamcase.eu Quite a bit more expensive, but reviews I've seen have been phenomenal.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

HA. I'm on EV-5 plan with SDG&E, which gives me a dramatically lower rate (.09 / kwh) during super-off peak hours. However, during super-off peak hours, I am at work. o.O I work 4 x 10's, so I keep it plugged in on my days off, but not during my work week (.54 / kwh). So the only benefit is...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I have a destination charger installed at home, and I rarely use superchargers (only during road trips). I have logged about 400 charges at home, and only maybe a dozen supercharges. I suppose I could limit the amperage of the charge and see if trickle charging makes any difference...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

So it appears that either A) charge capacity loss is typical within the first 10k/1 year... and/or B) something has been changed recently in the software to cause the charging capacity to be reported differently. Thanks for posting your stats/graphs. A lot of them show dramatic changes...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I do not usually charge daily. I typically charge when the battery gets to about 50%, up to 85%.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I attached the trending chart, and I did review the charge over time report. It is most certainly declining over time. My concern is whether it is expected for the battery to take a lesser charge over time, or if I should be concerned I may have a defective battery pack? I've barely had the...
