    Preconditioning for Supercharger...

Early preconditioning happened on my last long trip too. Looking at Teslamate I wonder if it proactively preconditioned for other SC before the target one just in case it was rerouted. Mine preconditioned around Adderstone and Newcastle when going to Scotch Corner from Edinburgh

    Yes - we did that

    If not this Tesla what?

Ioniq 5 - on paper a great car, in practise felt a bit cheap and user interface horrendous. So, so to drive. If it was 10k cheaper that would have felt right. Skoda Enyaq - lovely car but big and v. traditional inside. Hankered after 80x sportline variant. Lead time was a concern. Ultimately...

    Fix chips immediately or not?

50! Suddenly I feel lucky 😂I’m tempted to go for the Chipex approach since the bonnet does seem like it will be continually hammered due to angle of it.

Boot space including frunk. 425 or 542 litres?

The boot is much bigger than it seems. We were unsure and SC said just book another test drive and bring your luggage to try - apparently lots do it. We have North Face duffel bags and fitted 1 SUP, 2 large and 2 medium duffel bags easily into the boot and trunk with some room to spare. I...

    Fix chips immediately or not?

That’s the fear - trying to do it myself may be a mistake. Does anyone have a recommendation of someone for chip repairs in Lothian area?

    Fix chips immediately or not?

Thanks. Yes, I’m think there is a good chance of a few more during winter. I’d already seen a previous post re: M-tech and was planning to give him a shout since its a bit of a nasty one!

    Fix chips immediately or not?

Just spotted 2 reasonable size chips on the bonnet of my 6 week old Model 3 white. Both looks down to Aluminium. Wondering whether I need to fix ASAP or better to wait till I get some more then have then batch repaired professionally. Worried that my attempts with Chipex may make it worse...

    [UK] 2021.36.x

Yes, I do. It turns out that you have to go unlock the car first and close off the release notes. Once I did that, the Schedule appeared in my mobile app without restarting!

    [UK] 2021.36.x

My car updated itself this morning, although the Schedule option does not appear in the app (which I’ve restarted multiple times). Does it only appear if plugged in?

I assume all those that are getting the new update have selected the advanced software upgrade? How long does it typically take to rollout to people configured as standard?

Home Charge Points Discussion and Suggestions [megathread]

Thanks. For me it would be 24p at other times, so the savings would be minimal - probably around 150, which would hardly be worth the effort to get setup for it.

Home Charge Points Discussion and Suggestions [megathread]

We have a Wallbox Pulsar Plus which is small, seems reliable and the only real downside is the glaring LED. I leave it in "dumb" mode, so any scheduled charging will be done by the car itself. I'm yet to be convinced the low-price tariffs would be worth the hassle for the 10K miles we do a...

Speed of DC 50kW CCS chargers

I got around 45 steady today from a ChargePlace Scotland charger in Glasgow - had the added bonus of being one of the free ones!

EST says the base price bust be under 50K - I don't think you'll have any issue as the Tesla Invoice actually splits out the LR option as a separate from the base price. I'm sure EST will be able to confirm easily enough.
