Model 3 HW3 retrofit questions, wait time, issues

Just had my upgrade to HW3.0 today. Everything went smooth. All my settings saves except Bluetooth/WiFi. Also had to sign back into Netflix/Hulu etc. Yesterday I had upgraded to the software to 2020.8.1. However, after the HW3 upgrade today, I noticed that I am back on 2020.4.1 Will Tesla...

nick in driver's side chrome trim, quote to replace

This was a used car and this occurred prior to me taking delivery. I thought if I took it to a detail they could buff it out , make it look less noticeable..But unfortunately that was not the case. The detailers could not help. Not sure if the Service Center would of repaired free of charge...

nick in driver's side chrome trim, quote to replace

I actually don't mind the chrome look since it matches my wheels. It just seems really expensive to replace. Would something like this work? https://www.amazon.com/Molotow-ONE4ALL-Acrylic-Marker-703-103/dp/B01E7EGARQ

nick in driver's side chrome trim, quote to replace

Hello, I have had this nick/scratch on the driver's side door chrome trim. When I had mobile service here today to fix my charge port door, I asked how much to fix and was quoted $224 + tax to replace the chrome trim. I would need to schedule another appointment since he would need to get the...

Taking car in for first detail... any preparations?

I appreciate the perspectives regarding PPF and ceramic coating. It is something I will consider doing in the future.

Taking car in for first detail... any preparations?

I was paraphrasing his comments on ceramic coating/ppf as I don’t recall the entire conversation. But regarding the “doesn’t last” Had something to do with weather conditions and cars not being garage kept.. I understand it is different for everyone and I may still consider getting it done in...

Taking car in for first detail... any preparations?

Thanks Joe! He used Carnauba Wax (after washing and clay barring etc). For the windows and glass surfaces he used “Invisible Glass” which he highly recommends. As far as keeping the car clean on a daily basis, he said to just hose it down and recommended “meguiars wash and wax” after. However...

Taking car in for first detail... any preparations?

Thank you @joebruin77 for the great tips! I just plugged her in because of your tip regarding the battery! I don’t have any PPF or Ceramic but have thought about getting it done at a later time. I have heard the Tesla paint is soft , and will bring this up at my appointment. Also like the...

Taking car in for first detail... any preparations?

Hey Burrito, the detailer I goto is in Atlantic County. If you are from the area or interested, I can message you his information. I appreciate the suggestions! I wasn’t surprised to hear that my detailer hasn’t worked on them as I don’t see too many in our area. I’ll update the thread with my...

Taking car in for first detail... any preparations?

I'm taking my Model 3 in for its first detailing tomorrow morning and wonder what preparations (if any) that this group has done. I've used this detailer before and he is a nice guy, owns the business and works on the cars himself. He has never worked on a Tesla before though. I imagine I...

Is this a good deal for used M3 LR RWD?

The car came out great! Some minor scratches on trim, and a few minor cosmetic stuff. A good detail will take care of most. Much better then how it looked in the photos. The contact on the charge port door needs to be replaced (where you push it to open). I have a service appointment scheduled...
