Here it is. "PTC Heater" is the resistive heater used in original M3's before Heatpump. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/6343982/ Still not clear on which software version might be implicated and there is some evidence this could be aharsware issue with old PTC Heaters.

I have a 2018 M3 and came within an hour of buying a LR Model S in Dec that came available but heat pump/new battery pack unknowns caused me to wait. It sure did look sweet...I could not drive it.
