    NEMA 14-50 home charging advice

Getting ready to finally upgrade from Level1 charging at home for my Y. A friend has me paranoid about home charging fires but from everything I read, it’s all about having a qualified electrician install with the appropriate wiring and receptacle. My electrician is planning to use a Leviton...

    A mouse ate my Tesla

I am dealing with this right now 😭 went to get a napkin out of my glovebox yesterday and they were all shredded like a mouse was trying to nest. Spouse came home and cleaned everything out and only found a few droppings. So either this is a new situation or it are the bait that my pest company...

    Insurance with FSD

State Farm will not cover either. My agent's office was genuinely confused about covering a software upgrade - new territory for them. I decided not to get FSD before the price jump so it ended up being a non-issue but it would have been a pain to have to switch insurance companies or find...

Cancelled Y Reservation for S Long Range

I had a S loaner while my Y was being serviced. I was so excited because I have always loved the way the S looks. I have to say I wasn't impressed. It's a beautiful car but I found it was hard to get in and out of and the controls/layout seemed so bulky compared to the minimalist Y. I was happy...

Supercharger - Claymont, DE - Philadelphia Pike

Called the Wawa with the new Claymont SC station and they said Nov 5 is the final target date. The employee said someone was out there working on them yesterday and 4 show lit up. Still not officially listed or showing up on app but must be getting close.

    FSD pricing confusion

I have a call out to my insurance company but does anyone have experience with coverage for FSD in case a car is totaled? And to confirm FSD transfers with the vehicle so adds resale value? I wish it transferred with the owner, i.e. If I buy a software license, I can reinstall a program if I...

Window acting glitchy after opening door

Tried calibrating window and a soft reboot. No luck so I called support, they walked me through a hard reboot. Looks like it is a door sensor issue because the display shows the door is closed even though it is open. Service call scheduled...

Window acting glitchy after opening door

So my first "issue" with my MY. After opening the driver side door from inside, the window goes down slightly as it should to allow the door to open. But then it lowers slightly and raises up to the full position so I can't close the door (it hits the trim). I have to lower the window then...

    Limited Charging Message

Yes, I'm in northern DE and fortunately convenient to the service center. Hopefully the mobile tech will bring a spare, especially since one of the previous posts indicate an issue with the mobile chargers being delivered with the MY.

    Limited Charging Message

I haven't been on the forum in a few days and just saw this. I had the exact same problem on day 1 at home. Turned out to be a faulty mobile charger that didn't seat into the port. I took a chance and just drove into the service center since I didn't have any other home charging option. They...

Level 1 charging sufficient for low daily miles?

Thanks all, very helpful information! It is a newer outlet in the garage so the plug seats well. The charging rate is usually 5 miles/hour but sometimes drops to 4, occasionally 3. I'll stick with this for now and see if my driving habits change to warrant a level 2.

Level 1 charging sufficient for low daily miles?

So let me preface that I'm a newbie to the MY and EV driving in general so appreciate some patience here... My daily driving is pretty limited and typically averages ~30 miles since I work remotely (even before COVID). So far, I can charge at Level 1 and easily get 60-80 miles during the time...

Glad it finally worked out and looks like your comments reflect that it was worth the wait (and headache). Enjoy!

    Returned MY Today

Based on your photos, there are some pretty significant issues but Tesla would have fixed them right? Personally, I have never done anything other than a cursory walk around with other vehicle purchases. It would have never crossed my mind to do anything more except for all the research I did...
