    CA FasTrak Transponders

Yep. Just put it in position 3.

    CA FasTrak Transponders

You don't need it for the regular HOV carpool lanes but if you want to take the toll road up to L. A. then you need to get the transponder. It will cost you $25 plus $1 a month. You can get them from AAA and some Costco stores. If you plan to drive in SF Bay Area then you need it for the toll...

    CA FasTrak Transponders

I did get to a human through 511. Never thought about mounting elsewhere but since I also have ceramic tint I'm not sure that it would work in other spots as well unless it was inside the nose cone.

I think you are lucky that you weren't charged. Perhaps they put you on the exclusion list to begin with.

Mine has the three-way switch but still isn't transmitting through the windshield I guess.

    CA FasTrak Transponders

My FasTrak transponder is/was correctly installed at the top/center of the windshield. However, any time I use the FasTrak lane, my account is charged because the the system cannot read the transponder through the coating which Tesla puts on the windshields. The last time this happened I...

TPMS - Low Pressure - Why Not Tell Us Which Tire?

Hmmmm. Wondering if this is something else that newer ones have and those of us who are pre-autopilot don't have. As a side note, my car was built two weeks before they started putting the new systems in before the announcement. But I'M NOT BITTER.

TPMS - Low Pressure - Why Not Tell Us Which Tire?

Vitaman, do you have an S or a Roadster. If an S, when delivered? Mine is pre-autopilot and it only told me to check tire pressure but did not identify which one. Hence this post.

TPMS - Low Pressure - Why Not Tell Us Which Tire?

It could pinpoint the tire that is low BUT IT DOES NOT. that's the problem.

TPMS - Low Pressure - Why Not Tell Us Which Tire?

Nope. I already had the update when I posted this. It doesn't show it.

TPMS - Low Pressure - Why Not Tell Us Which Tire?

The TPMS warning came on when I was stuck in traffic and then when I was able to get somewhere to park and look at my tires, I could not see that any of them were actually "flat" so I decided to go to the Service Center and have my first tire rotation. I figured that the guys at the SC would...

Three Quick Southern California HOV Sticker Questions...

Next time I talk to one of them, I'll ask. But I suspect that the answer is the same. If you could put it on the back, then you know how to comply with the law, so then you really have no excuse. Personally, as fast as I drive, I don't want to give them any reason to choose to pull me over...

Three Quick Southern California HOV Sticker Questions...

I live in the greater Los Angeles area so there is not only a need for these damn stickers but also a decent chance of getting pulled over for not having them. I have friends who are in the CHP and they would not buy the BS excuses of forgetting to put them on the car when you have them in your...

Three Quick Southern California HOV Sticker Questions...

I couldn't agree more. It nearly killed me to put the stickers on the paint. I have never done that to any car, not even my 1974 Mercury Capri. I don't understand why a Tesla is even required to get the stickers since it's an all electric car. Some of the regulations in CA make no sense at all.

Three Quick Southern California HOV Sticker Questions...

Just got my HOV stickers and my FasTrak transponder. It took about 5 weeks (for the stickers, I got the transponder at AAA). I thought we get a free pass on everything so it's good to know that I will have to pay some tolls. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it
