Leaving Phone in Car while at work

If you do slide in into a pouch, you should definitely turn the phone off (or put in airline mode). If you don't, the phone will try to connect to the closest tower, increasing the power until it can. When you come back after work, you may find your battery dead!

Non-OEM Rear Control Arms bushings with lower NVH

Is there a better bushing than Tesla's OEM bushing for Redwood's FPX - OEM Rubber Bushing Adjustable Rear Camber & Toe Control Arms that would still have low NVH but last longer for regular driving? Which ones would those be? Thanks.

    Model Y Suspension Suggestions

Well, if you can't change the car, maybe you could change the wife? I hear Danica Patrick is available! 😄

    Model Y Suspension Suggestions

I didn't read you referencing Redwood Motorsports, which use Ohlins based coilovers. They are considered at the top for comfort, albeit at a higher price than MPP or UP. I placed my order for them, along with rear camber and toe control arms, but am still waiting for the order. Check them out...

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

The curb weight of the Tesla Model 3 is 3,862 to 4,048 lbs, and the Model Y is 3,920 to 4,416 lbs. AS I understand it, you want the jack to be rated 3/4 of the car's weight or more. For the Tesla Model Y, 3/4 of the weight is for 3312 lbs, so it is a little low. With that jack rated for 1.5...

Do Android phones require Tesla App to be opened for the key lock to work?

My Android (Samsung Note 8, Samsung S9) phone key lock have all stopped operating with my 2021 Tesla Model Y LR (over April). Maybe it was the last FSD update? Anyway, maybe 1 in 20 times the car does open. But most times, I need to use my key cards or Tesla App to open the car and start it...

Leaving Phone in Car while at work

You definitely want to keep your phone on ice, as flash memory data retention & lifetime drops in half for every 5C (9F) increase in temperature. A car inside temperature can easily exceed 60C (140F). If you put it inside the glove box, you should probably put a pin on opening the glove box...

    Lane centering adjustable?

I feel my FSD lane centering is dead center on the lane if there are clear markings on both side. Most people on the roadway tend to go a bit more to the left I believe. If this is the case, with multi-lanes, you want everyone to follow the same rule. However, if near the center lane on an...
