Questions about Unplugged Performance vs Mountain Pass Performance suspension and installation.

I'm pretty sure everyone who has a coilover system made for a Model Y will tell you it's a lot better with it. There are people here on the board who did have just the springs, and later changed to coilovers.

Questions about Unplugged Performance vs Mountain Pass Performance suspension and installation.

Look at Redwood MotorSports coilovers too. They use Ohlins DFV technology, and are easier to adjust the rear, but are more expensive. However, I think I think you will find vast improvement over the stock suspension whichever you choose.

Right now there are many cargo ships to and from China sitting just outside the ports that are held up because the ports have been backed up due to the pandemic. I've waited sometimes for 2 months from China in the past. Try emailing them or be patient. I'm sure you will eventually get it. An...

Model Y Showing Less range I mean It should be 525 but now with 100% it shown only 490 ? Any suggestions

The short of it is that you should not, with rare exceptions, ever charge your car to 100%. You should be minimizing the time your car spends outside the approximate 20% to 80% range. Plan a higher charge (e.g. 95%) or whatever you actually will need to complete charging just before using it...

    MountainPass Performance Comfort Coilovers

You will definitely need rear camber arms, maybe rear toe arms too. Lowering it that much may also cause problems with speed bumps and speed calming areas. Email or call your coilover supplier and they will generally help you through your purpose. I don't know where in Florida you are, but...

Should one charge each night, or only when needed?

So true, However, the 1st thing out of the Tesla (and other EVs) haters is how much it is going to cost for a new battery when it goes bad in a couple of years! If the batteries last 500,000 as Tesla says could be instead of the 300,000 miles they have already achieved, at 13,500 miles per...

Should one charge each night, or only when needed?

I have a friend who only charges his Model Y LR only when it he gets a notification that he needs to charge the car at about 10%, On my Model Y LR, I always charge it to 75% or so every night. I think he should leave it plugged in, to allow for better battery cooling whenever it's needed. So...

Suspension upgrade recommendation for 2021 MY LR AWD comfortable ride

All they had to do is offer an air suspension or similar option, which there is space for in the Model 3 any Y. I'd have paid more for it. Maybe they didn't want to eat into the sales of their other cars, but I think it would be good as an option.

Way to take screenshots from console screen?

Syncing two or more cameras is pretty easy. You can just have the time code of the videos matched up using internal time of the videos, sound or video frames that have something common to both, the date and time of the files, using a clock display in the videos etc. Just use a digital video...

Model Y Suspension and Ride Comfort Options

The Tesla has a setting for tire size. For my MYLR, it allows choosing 19" or 20" tires. If you use something else, it may be a problem.

Towing a single motorcycle trailer - towing and efficiency report

A lot of superchargers have a left side, drive in straight spot. Your trailer would stick out, but most superchargers are out of the way, far from the flow of traffic. Were these available on your trip?

Pulled over for no front plate?

For myself, I don't have a big issue and have my front plate always on. But they do increase drag, reducing energy usage per mile a bit.

Pulled over for no front plate?

While you may not want it, why flaunt the law? There are at least two, no-drill front license plate holders, Slipstream Bracket and Quick Bandit. The Slipstream is harder to steal, the Quick Bandit quicker on and off.

    Regenerative braking on icy roads

The friction brakes are controlled by the brake pedal. But if applying the brake pedal shuts down the regen of releasing the accelerator, then a light touch of the brake might disable the regen without actually touching the discs.
