    Model 3 Highland Performance

US states charge different amount of taxes so in the US prices are advertised as without tax. Add 10% import duty, 20% VAT and first registration fee and the numbers make more sense.

Beginning of the end for Tesla

If this is true : Are your performance management processes any better than your hiring processes or are they riddled with false measures, bias and unmeasurable behaviour type measures (which boil down to "don't disagree with me") ? One leader's deadwood is another leader's star. It rewards...

    Average Wh/mi since owning?

2019 SR+, 19" wheels and no heat pump. 295Wh/mile at around 35k miles. (tyres changed at 30k - still (just) within legal limits) ... also was bought in late August 2019 so it's biased a little by having 1 more winter than summer

    Dreaded squeaky suspension (2019 Model 3 SR+)

Many thanks for the detailed and useful reply ! It has now mysteriously disappeared - but I'm confident it will return !

    Dreaded squeaky suspension (2019 Model 3 SR+)

I know there has been some discussion about this in earlier threads but I'm now getting the dreaded squeak on the front suspension while at full (or close to) full lock. I had the joints lubricated in 2021 and the upper control arms replaced in 2022 (both under warranty). I'm now out of...

2023 MYP Tyres for Rim Protection

Just put 19" Pirelli Powergy on my M3 - they have rim protection on them which looks reasonable. Tyres seem to do the job and maybe a bit quieter than the Hankooks they replaced. Kwik Fit have decent pricing and Pirelli seem to have a £50 per pair cashback deal if you are a member of certain...

If the rise in insurance is because of repair costs why isn’t third party cheap too?

Insurance companies are not dumb - despite what we might think their whole existence is to pay out as little as possible. They have the data and they understand perfectly the cost implications of repair vs write off. They simply follow the money and have no sentimental attachment to cars.

    Lidl NI - 3 phase cable £130

For those in NI (usually Lidl deals are different to GB) - they have what seems to be a 5m 3 phase (description says 22kW) cable for £129 : https://www.lidl-ni.co.uk/p/electric-car-charging-cable/p10002073?pageId=10030145&tabCode=Current_Sales_Week Seems a bargain - screwfix are currently £170.

Model 3 wheel alignment - Northern Ireland

It's an SR+ so not as much torque as a performance. While I'm not a grandad I'm not a boy racer either !

Model 3 wheel alignment - Northern Ireland

Thanks - How much did they charge ?

Model 3 wheel alignment - Northern Ireland

Has anyone got their wheels aligned in NI ? - if so who with ? Booked in to Kwik Fit for new tyres (I know I know but they were the only people who had the tyres I wanted at a reasonable price). They say they can't check the alignment because it's a Tesla. I phoned their customer support to...

    M3 LR RWD incoming

... and I know its not the same thing but having these features in the base autopilot I think actually puts people off FSD. When the car "bongs" to say the light is green when it's mistakenly picked up the green filter arrow in another lane, or the signal for pedestrians which is slightly on...

Tesla loaner agreement sign request prior to collecting car.

The excess on the Tesla insurance is fearsome so its best to add the car to your own insurance for the duration.

Auto Express Interview with Moto Chief Executive

... derating works if you're plugged in for a long time and don't really care when your charge finishes. For chargers on the go, derating when at max capacity doesn't really make sense. It reduces the throughput of vehicles which could be much more easily and cheaply achieved by putting in...
